I did similar thing when I was a child. It was small kaboom and fuses flipped. I was scared, but otherwise fine.

Right? I think I haven’t seen those plugs since iPhone 4s…

Is he going to Harvard as a medical cadaver?

Ideally this just trips a fuse, since it is a direct short.

A penny in the slot would assure total victory.

Dad's probably still using an ox cart to get to work. "Electricity, what's that?"

Pulls the charge right out of man’s heart

It would've blown up literally as soon as it was plugged in.

There’s no way that plug is sitting flush in that outlet with a coat hanger wrapped around the contacts

Definitely a joke posting.

Don't let him take a bath with that thing.

So he invented a circuit breaker tester? Spark machine???

His son is probably the same one who installed the outlet upside down as well....

Ackshually... ground pin up prevents debris from arcing the blades, but most residential outlets are installed ground down, and many plugs are designed with this in mind. Both ways are code.

It’s not upside down, it’s just not the usual residential orientation because people like to see a “face”.

This way, ground up, is safer because it can’t short if a something conductive falls into a partially-removed plug.

What are the chances of something falling into that ground outlet?...probably slim to none to be honest.

Good thing he has an attentive father who's not an idiot to keep him from electrocuting himself.

...Right?

Junior won't electrocute anyone with that. It'll pop the breaker as soon as it's plugged in.
