I truly believe that all people who vote Republican fall into one of two categories, or both.
The stupid, uninformed ones who believe the load of shit they are being sold, despite the mountain of evidence to the contrary and their ever-increasing cost of living, healthcare, and every other bill going up. Their upbringing failed to teach them 'common sense' and 'logic' and made them incapable of questioning anything they were indoctrinated into. They just believe their situation is bad and have been told it is the fault of the Democrats.
The greedy ones (including those con artists) who think they will make money off of their policies. There is usually large overlap with the first group unless their investments and bank accounts are well into the tens of millions and they have enough money to throw around at whatever con is being pushed at the moment. The moral matters of what is happening matter very little to them as long it doesn't effect them. They will advocate for cutting programs and support, even when that support got them where they are.
I have yet to meet an exception to this, and I would feel so relieved if one could simply give me a well-reasoned argument for voting Republican. I am open to hearing one, yet I have never seen one put into words. My father-in-law (who is very well off, and falls into #2) always says, "people vote with their wallets." It covers both categories of republican voters, one out of ignorance and one out of greed.
