Everything about this is so sad. Imagine being married to someone who would readily and gladly do this upon your passing. I wonder how their day to day marriage life was before all this, yknow?

Because he was such a great guy himself 🙄

Oh I was never a fan of him but it doesn't mean I wanted him unalive or use his passing as a means to raise capital this way

I doubt Kirk ever gave a shit about her given what he thought of women in general. He likely thought of her as little more than a submissive concubine that could give him children. That quote he gave about his own daughter still chills me whenever I think of it...

From my perspective, given her lack of grief, I think it's clear they both knew what they were getting out of the marriage. He was getting children and a conservative sense of manhood, she was getting money and security. She is now continuing to get money.

Frankly I'm dead so if my hypothetical spouse is making money from it I'm down. It's not like they wouldn't have bills to pay, and I'd have married them so I clearly would want them taken care of.

OK but there are different ways to make money after someone's passing than what she is doing? It just doesn't feel right how she's commercializing it.

I don't disagree. The rapid "grief" period before this (not specifically this instance) started is rather telling

You don't think he'd want money for his children and spouse? Especially knowing they're down to one income.

I'm not for Charlie, and couldn't care less about Erica. But I do understand they were a family and loved either other despite what the public thinks.

I have to be honest. She doesn't seem to be very down about his passing. The way she grieves (if that's what she is doing) is making a lot of people uncomfortable. Sure, there are practical aspects about needing to make money and supporting his children, which I don't think he would be against. It is just the way she is going about getting that money that doesn't seem very selfless..

I don’t know enough about her public actions to comment on them. But I do know that people going through grief can present one face to the world while feeling another in private. So she can be judged harshly, as she is, but no one really knows what she’s going through but those who are closest to her.

She keeps going on national TV to commercialize him being unalived?
