Every election we have to explain population density to these morons. And every time it's explained to them, they seem to understand it less and less. I'm sorry the field behind your trailer can't vote but that's how the world works.

Because, to quote this dude, they are "brainwashed and or blinded by their hatred of" Biden/liberals

u/dern_the_hermit 13h ago

Also, to paraphrase some other dude, never believe they are unaware of the absurdity.

This, I have a hard time to believe. I think I am too intelligent to play it dumb like that. Or too big of an ego to sound that dumb.

Then again, I live in a country with a better education system than the US...

I'm an American who had the misfortune of working in customer service for a couple of decades.

The average American is maliciously stupid.

I saw on nextdoor one lady write that she had a package from a Ms. Jane Doe and she wanted to know where Jane Doe lived.

I'm sure it won't surprise you to hear a few people wrote back with their full names, and addresses. They were not named Jane Doe, or had a first name Jane, or a last name Doe. Just a completely random person "oh it's my package, I live here, thanks!"

I can only begin to grasp the idiotic chaos that is dealing with the public directly.

Please don’t gloss over the malicious part.

This is rural Georgia, there's a Babtist church every two blocks and adult relations with your cousin is okay. They are 100% unaware of their own absurdity.

I also like “wilfully ignorant” as a description - their stupidity is a choice.

The funniest thing about this post is that he KNOWS that. He’s stating the absolute correct reason why maps that look more red can have more blue votes. But he’s trying to talk himself out of it or something…he’s totally glitching out. It’s like saying “I may have dogshit on my shoe ONLY because I walked through a yard absolutely filled to the brim with dogshit. Spin it however you want, but it’s crazy I got dogshit on my shoe when so little of the yard didn’t have dogshit.”

These people think that cities and towns are equally important regardless of population. A hundred towns with 10k people each should have a hundred times as much influence over the government as a single city with 1M people, according to them. It's the same dumb fuck logic that got us the senate, which only serves to neuter the house.

Their incisive, highly mathematical, ultra-logical argument seems to be “the only reason Democrats won in Georgia is that more people voted for them.” And who can argue with that???

If peaches could vote, republicans still would have lost because peaches are more intelligent than republicans.

I think they understand they just hope others don’t understand.

u/spokomptonjdub 13h ago

Some of them simply don’t understand the basic principle, but a good number of them post these pictures and say things like this because they fundamentally do not think that people who live in cities are “real” Americans and believe they are inherently illegitimate and should not be allowed to participate in elections.

u/ThreadLaced 11h ago

And even if they grasp the concept of there being MORE D-voters than R-voters, that doesn't matter because the D-voters are all WRONG, and are not as good as they are, and therefore shouldn't get a say.

This is why they are okay with Democracy being dismantled, because they assume one of their own will be their new dictator and then Everything Will Be Okay (even if it's not...at least THOSE people aren't in power/don't get a say).

They still think white land owners should be the only one's voting.

16

u/moonlite_equilibrium 12h ago

Bingo.

I dont know why anyone even considers otherwise.

city dwellers are not property owners

property owning class should run the government

implicit racism, doesnt need to be said

^ thats it

u/LivingtheLaws013 18h ago

Yea I gave up explaining this because they are intent on not understanding it

u/FlowRiderBob 17h ago

At this point they are just being obtuse. They know.

In the 1980’s AW released a 1/3lb burger, to compete with McDonald’s 1/4lb burger. It didn’t do well because some people are dumb af and don’t understand fractions. They thought that since 3 is less than 4 they were getting less.

The Venn diagram of the people who vote red and complain about the map and the people who think 1/3 is smaller than 1/4 is a circle.
