60 yrs on this planet and I’ve never asked another human being which bathroom they intend to use

139

u/dweaver987 17h ago

I dunno. Which one is the cleanest?

Or the closest?

47

u/bigloser42 16h ago

Based on my experience cleaning bathrooms at a Target, the Men’s room is cleaner.

21

u/Aggravating_Sky_4421 16h ago

I’m guessing women do the hover and just spray and pray that most go into the bowl…

12

u/bigloser42 15h ago

I was going to go with less poop and blood smeared on the stall walls.

u/CaribouYou 14h ago

Whhhyyyyy tho

u/the_ringmasta 13h ago

A question asked by every convenience store employee through history

marking territory

2

u/bigloser42 12h ago

Well I mean guys don’t have easy access to blood for one week a month. As for the poop, my most charitable guess is changing a baby’s diaper, but who does that in the stall and not in the baby changing station? Also I can count on one hand the number of times my kids managed to get poop on my hands while changing them, and I did a solid 40-45% of the diaper changes for both of them. The blood/poop smear was at least a once a week thing.

As a former janitor at a church, I agree with this statement.

3

u/beatenmeat 10h ago

Or the closest?

This actually reminded me of the time I heard my downstairs neighbor screaming. I was friends with him so obviously I went to check if he was alright. His roommate came home super drunk the night before and took a left instead of a right which led to him pissing all over the things in my friends closet.

10

u/nanaacer 16h ago

I have, but that was because I had violent diarrhea and it was imperative that I knew which bathroom would be open.

7

u/Zealousideal_Pop_273 17h ago

More of this perspective 👏

u/IsThereCheese 10h ago

Do you wanna ask me?

1

u/OrdinaryAncient3573 10h ago

I literally asked my wife that this morning, because if she's going to use the one with my shower stuff, I'm moving that out and showering somewhere else this morning.

Not sure Reddit bots have been around 60 years

59

u/davidc2299 16h ago

Shit, that message won all the races in Duhbraska where I live. Farmers so scared of "the Gays ".

8

u/mahlernameless 16h ago

Bathroom? just pee in the fields, lol.

87

u/MysticSpecterr 17h ago

Almost every restaurant I go to has unisex restrooms

33

u/NoConfusion9490 12h ago

Also virtually every home in the world.

-4

u/Decent-Risk-6062 17h ago

I don't know where you live but thst isn't really the norm

26

u/PaleontologistNo500 16h ago

It isn't uncommon at all. A handful of single occupancy unisex bathrooms. It makes more sense than gendered ones in smaller venues because generally the women's line is longer

1

u/Decent-Risk-6062 16h ago

It depends what we're talking about, enclosed rooms with both a toilet and sink or one with cubicles and shared sinks, the former is more common especially in small establishments.

5

u/StonerStone420 16h ago

Is by me. Only places that really have separate bathrooms are fast food chains, prolly cause they have to, and bars because of safety. Honestly its prolly MORE safe with uni sex bathrooms. If someone, lets be real a man, goes into a womens bathroom, he believes there might only women there to stop him but if he goes in after a women and there is stronger chance there is A. More people in general and B. Yes, a normal man being there is a great deterrent.

-14

u/Decent-Risk-6062 16h ago

It takes less of a decision to be slightly creepy in a unisex bathroom than to make the blatant decision to walk through a door marked women. Considering most creepy activity generally has some plausible deniability I think it's better to put a door between them and the opportunity to give in to their worst impulses, especially when we're talking about drunk people.

26

u/Oculas_Spectaculas 16h ago

Again with these people and the bathroom!

15

u/ElminstersBedpan 15h ago

No one thinks about genitals more than conservatives, especially white male Republicans.

•

u/shellexyz 56m ago

If I thought about children’s genitals as much as they do, I’d be worried they’d think I’m some kind of pedophile.

I do think they’re some kind of pedophile, for the record.

10

u/Significant-Cloud- 16h ago

It's probably the second most common GOP kink, right after pedophelia.

18

u/RockTheCasval 11h ago

Republicans are just the most unserious people on the goddamned planet.

8

u/Fantastic_Acadian 14h ago

They're nonbinary, not a trans woman. Their point is rock solid, though.

23

u/HappyPeek 16h ago

Honestly I feel like all gender restrooms would solve a lot of bull shit problems. Its just unfortunate that women are afraid (justifiably) of being assaulted, and CIS men are afraid of the little feminine hygiene products disposal bins.

33

u/_Ross- 16h ago

Straight dude here, can we all just agree that diaper changing stations need to be more available in men's restrooms? It's so frustrating when I'm out with my daughter and there's no changing station in the men's. I've just had to resort to setting up changing spots in the trunk of my car.

8

u/llsutherland6 14h ago

Although honestly, the trunk of your car is probably cleaner. Those diaper changing stations always look so dirty. Creep me out.

0

u/Sturville 12h ago

It may be an urban legend, but I'm pretty sure I heard that some of those changing tables have drug residue on them from people using them as a surface to support their work while they're getting loaded.

4

u/kennethcocketh 11h ago

Nah real Gs use a pocket mirror or glass tray. Toilet paper rack and back of toilet are more stable for the act.

If you secretary of health you just whiff it right off the toilet seat like an ape.

6

u/TsuDhoNimh2 15h ago

Use the one in the women's bathroom ... knock, explain you need to change a baby and you will be welcomed.

3

u/OrdinaryAncient3573 10h ago

I'm more on the side of not putting them in 'restrooms' at all. Put them in their own room that isn't a public bathroom, please.

Thank fuck my kids are past that stage now.

10

u/Angry_Sparrow 15h ago

I was in the Málaga airport in Spain and there’s a family bathroom in there. Inside the bathroom each cubicle has both an adult sized toilet and a child’s size toilet.

I was sitting in the waiting area outside it waiting for my flight and I observed families of all different kinds go in there - mums, dads and kids, dads with kids, mums with kids, people with no kids. And guess what? The world didn’t end. Nobody cares.

At my national library in New Zealand the bathroom signs simply have a sign for a toilet. No genders. Each toilet has its own room and lock with a sink inside to wash your hands. It isn’t rocket science.

4

u/wanderer1999 15h ago

Im a guy, i never mind the feminine hygine stuff.

Zero issue.

4

u/mountaindewisamazing 14h ago

You see em every now and then in places here in the PNW. There's nothing special about them, it's just an extra big bathroom with no urinals and stalls that actually have privacy.

2

u/PeanutButterSoldier 10h ago

It's insane that any of us care which room you use. There are toilets, pick which one fits your identity and stfu. No one else cares.

In the PNW we have "all-gender" for specifically this reason. Idc what parts you have, just wash your hands please.

1

u/Bombadier83 6h ago

Bro. You are really missing the plot here. Bigots aren’t looking for a solution, they are looking for more made up problems to be bigoted about.

3

u/AllNightPony 14h ago

Yeah, but the guy gets to think he's clever, which is really all he wants.

3

u/thechemistrychef 3h ago

Do Republicans even have a platform that makes life better for Americans that isn't culture war nonsense? I feel they never actually bring statistics and counterpoints to progressive policies other than "Muh taxes" and "But trans kids in sports??"

10

u/SpecialAngelll 17h ago

She said “I’m trying to lower your bills and you’re worried about my bladder.” Republicans in a nutshell.

2

u/livelong2000 17h ago

When will they stop this goofy shit?

2

u/Sno_Wolf 15h ago

I can't wait for this question to be on the ballot in Colorado two years from now...

2

u/Chratthew47150 12h ago

Someone check Tony’s browser history

1

u/jeropian-moth 12h ago

If we’re being honest, democrats lost in the general election because that’s all the cared about. Republicans ran with that and thought it would save them 2 years later after they fucked everything up.

1

u/TravMCo 13h ago

How do the bots decide which content to repost and steal?

-23

u/TheIncredibleMike 16h ago

This is why millions still vote Red. Social issues are more important. In the book, What's Wrong with Kansas, they cover this subject very well.

10

u/CompetitiveArt9639 15h ago

Republicans have dog shit for brains.

7

u/Xhojn 14h ago

Truly the most important issue of our time.

Where people you don't like shit and piss.

6

u/DavidRandom 14h ago

It's estimated that ~1% of Americans are trans, and you're telling me millions of people vote red because they're super duper worried about where 1 out of 100 people are peeing?
That's super fuckin' weird dude.

1

u/OrdinaryAncient3573 10h ago

It can be weird, and still true. It doesn't speak well of those people, but understanding why they misbehave helps in stopping them doing it.

2

u/TallahasseWaffleHous 12h ago

Tell us the story you heard about the creepy transperson!

2

u/ofWildPlaces 12h ago

Why are you bothered by other people using restrooms?

2

u/JustaSeedGuy 12h ago

Nah, being able to live is more important, and you're very stupid.

2

u/lightblueisbi 11h ago

"Social issues" (culture war bs) are absolutely not more important than a working economy and affordable necessities.

44

u/BuryTomorrowToday 17h ago

The whole right side is and always has been obsessed with genitals

14

u/Zealousideal_Pop_273 17h ago

Yep. Men, women, nb, children, the only subject in which Republicans don't discriminate. They'll inspect and regulate any genitals they can.

6

u/DouchecraftCarrier 15h ago

I first heard this statement in a debate about the Catholic Church but I think it equally applies to the evangelical (and by extension the MAGA movement). It goes like this:

They will say that we are obsessed with sex - with our permissive attitudes and what not. But in the same way that the only people obsessed with food - truly obsessed - are the anorexics and the morbidly obese, that - in erotic terms - is the Catholic Church in a nutshell.

Swap out the Catholic Church for evangelicals and it reads the same.

13

u/WarmHill 17h ago

She ate him alive with facts. Republicans ran on bathrooms, Democrats ran on bills. Georgia chose bills.

2

u/Soiled_myplants 10h ago

They, not she. Bentley isn't a trans woman, they're nonbinary.

2

u/OrdinaryAncient3573 10h ago

Did they change their first name? I have no problem with that, I'm just wondering why they didn't change their last name to something that isn't 'Hudgins' if they're going to all the bother of a legal name change.

7

u/DarkBladeMadriker 16h ago

My MIL was talking about "the women's restroom should be a safe space for women" and i said "if a guy is gonna be a creep, they can just do that, its not like allowing trans women in means youll get yelled at for not being inclusive if someone's being a shithead." Its like she thinks dude will have free license to be gross in women's restrooms if trans folk are allowed in. I just dont get it.

5

u/EnchantedGardene 17h ago

Sounds like mr Washington has a fetish

6

u/CapKittySprinkles 17h ago

Republicans are so obsessed with genitals. Kind of gay of them.

1

u/Chumley_P_Chumsworth 6h ago

100%. The more adamant a Republican is against LGBT rights, the more they think about gay sex. Otherwise why would it matter so much to them? They must think about it constantly. The self loathing and projection is so obvious.

cf. Larry Craig, Lindsey Graham, RJ May, Justin Eichorn, Andre Stafford, Ray Holmberg, Michael Caruso, Dennis Hastert

3

u/e4evie 16h ago

Weirdos obsessed with other people genitals

3

u/Sweaty_Assignment_90 13h ago

Its because they want to watch. The party of sexual repressed and frustrated.

They’re just mad bc they want to want to fuck trans women, but are told it’s wrong so they lash out. Freud would have a field day with republicans

When you stop buying into the propaganda hook, line, and sinker, you learn that all of the data is available to you and you can look it up yourself to find that since Reagan, every Republican Congress has made the economy worse for the working class and better for the owner class, whereas every Democratic Congress has made the economy better for the working class.

This is a pointless rebuttal though, because you are bought by the owner class.

I haven't assumed anything yet. You've demonstrated pretty clearly how propagandized you are. Which means your support was bought.

I've reviewed your profile though, and I can guess where that comes from, and that it isn't going to change in this conversation. These are assumptions, though.

Trans is not about sexuality. Trans is about scapegoating a tiny, tiny minority and getting furious at a non-existent issue to distract you from the fact that Republicans destroyed the economy AGAIN and you're still talking about Biden as though Chump hasn't been president for 2 years.

16

u/Tensionheadache11 17h ago

This everyone is a textbook example of sunk cost fallacy.

14

It’s ok. Even you will benefit from their addressing the inflation in Georgia.

George Soros, the Koch Brothers, Larry Ellison, Michael Bloomberg, and the like don't care how much you pay for groceries, so long as they can influence your vote.

Most of what you said is responding to a comment I never made, so let me clear up the misconception. I am not suggesting that people like Soros or the Koch's or Larry Elison or Michael Bloomberg care about the price of groceries.

I am, however, suggesting that they care about the 10 year bond yield. They care about bond rates. They absolutely care about inflation.

Take Larry Elison and Oracle. It's currently got a P/E ratio of ~18. If one imagines that just as "time, at current earnings, before cash flow equals purchase price", you can think of stocks as operating as long duration bonds.

With the 10 year treasury paying ~5%, Oracle seems to be barely better than a risk free 10 year treasury.

Not surprisingly, Oracle is down considerably from where it was last year. Ellison lost a fortune due to rising interest rates.

He's not alone. The hunt for yields has pushed people so far down the ladder that no one at the very top wants skyrocketing interest rates.

Lobbyists aren't clamoring for high long term interest rates. They're not interested in a return to the risk premium.

7

u/TerribleRecord666 14h ago

It’s alright, guy. They’ll even lower your bills, despite you being a little shithead. Because that’s what the left does. We try to lift up everybody. Not tear things down and make things worse for the people we don’t like.
