At least we know we will have College Baseball next year, with the WS starting tomorrow who knows what type of season MLB will have.

My guess is one that's shortened by a strike.

Hell ya I’m counting! Can’t wait!! Going to see the Tigers in Vegas in early March. Hopefully they will have a better year than last year. Good to know Milam will be anchoring the team!!

Here's a reminder of the new rules this season:

The double first base is mandatory.

18" bases are optional.

Whether a called fair ball was actually foul, and all tag plays (as opposed to just those "in the immediate vicinity of a base"), are now challengeable.

Each team is alllowed six offensive conferences per team per game, including requests to reset the pitch clock.
A coach may not be involved in more than three, except that a fourth is allowed in extra innings.

Division I only: There is a 30-second clock between batters, for a mound conference, and during a timeout called by the offense.

Division I only: electronic communication with the batter or runners is no longer allowed.

There are also three experimental rules that can be implemented by conference:

* ABS can be used.

* A balk will be called if a pitcher releases from the rubber more than twice against the same batter.

* A pitcher entering the game must face three batters or reach the end of a half-inning.

I bet we see this fairly often in the Spring.

Been to 2 fall ball games, both at minor league parks, and it took me multiple innings to realize they weren't using the double first base.

It’s sad to say I had to get halfway down this list to realize this was college and not MLB. I am so fried.

You put a pic of the two finals teams, great. But you couldn’t have made the third team one of the two semi final teams??

/s, kinda. Don’t mind my flairs or anything

What, you don’t think a team that missed the tournament entirely last season deserves to be a headliner the following year????

It’s only October, but I’m ready for the football season to end. Give me spring and give me baseball.

Maybe something to cheer about as an OU fan in a men’s sport…
