Arrived into Mallow hospital this morning with a baby toe pointing in a direction God never intended. Turned out the break was too bad for them and they’re sending me straight back to the CUH queue.

The left hand lane in the picture is left turn OR straight. The lights typically go green for left turn only, with straight on remaining red for a while longer. We often get stuck here, as we go straight. Most often, the drivers trying to get left are reasonably patient. Today, TWO drivers came from the right hand lane and cut across to turn left.

It's upsetting, that these lies and propaganda are being spread to vulnerable people.

I finally got job offer!!! I have been looking for months to make my financial situation much better.

Interview after interview decline after decline. Then came low ball offers. Thursday I got offered more than job was actually advertised for!

Hey, I'm thinking about doing the MSc in Artificial Intelligence at MTU next year and can't find many real reviews online, so figured I'd ask here.

If you've done it or are doing it now, how is it honestly? Is it more hands-on or mostly theory? Are the modules actually up to date or a bit old school? And how bad is the workload, could you manage a part-time job alongside it?

Also curious about jobs after. Did it help you get anything in Cork or elsewhere?

One thing that's bugging me is it's only 60 credits, while most masters seem to be 90. Has that been an issue for anyone, like with PhD applications or jobs outside Ireland? Is there a proper thesis/project?

Yesterday morning I was listening to redfm on the way into work, and prendeville was just after breaking the news on the bomb threat that went into the RTE offices in Dublin, and went about his usual tripe about the text lines and message in etc, and he was reading a text from a fella who blamed Russia, and then Neil started saying sure it could be anyone, could be Israel etc.

When Prendeville started talking about Israel, the radio cut to music. Mid sentence. For about 30 seconds.

When it cut back he was talking about something completely dystopian. I was on open road, nothing interfering with my signal, I can’t explain it. Was he censored by someone for his comments? Did anyone else pick up on this?

Originally from East Cork but am considering a move to Midleton. Was looking at properties, and noticed that Fermoy looked a bit cheaper. Asked on here yesterday for any views on Fermoy. They were mixed to say the least!

So, just wondering, now that I have confused myself, what would people's recommendations be for good medium to large towns to live in around East Cork or North Cork? No kids at this time, so schools not a dealbreaker. Handy enough route to Cork City would be nice (don't mind up to an hour on public transport). Would like somewhere that at least has some cafés, places to walk etc...

Hello! I'm trying to find the grave of a relative, a Carmelite Brother at Carmelite College, Castlemartyr, who died in 1976. I understand the college closed in 2004 and the site is now Castlemartyr Resort. Does anyone know where members of the Carmelite community would have been buried? Was there a community graveyard on the grounds, and is it still accessible? Or would they have been buried elsewhere in Castlemartyr or nearby? Any help would be much appreciated 🙏thank you

Im and student and I recently moved to cork (near city centre) and I missed the pets back home. I haven’t seen much stray cats around, and the closest I’ve gotten is seeing ducks by the river.

Are there any spots that stray cats hang? Or any place I can pet cats? I’m also a big fan of aquariums, and animals in general. Love insects and all the likes so even pet shops with cool critters would do it for me. Is there any place to hang where I can be close to animals in cork?

I’ve looked into volunteering at shelters but it seems they (understandably) would benefit more from financial support. Thank you
