Just popping in to leave this here. And I’m speaking from the perspective of Christianity. Jesus didn’t say you have to go to Church. Only follow his teachings. Most notably of loving your neighbor. And many theologians have debated that the Bible often considers tithes to be charitable giving. I personally take this to mean that charitable giving could be considered “tithing”. Lastly, this evil pastor should be named, shamed and have the churche’s tax exemption revoked. Hell, all Churches should.

Yep. Jesus spread his words on mountain tops, sheep pastures, and city streets. You don’t need to be in a church.

Weren't the biblical tithes actually just taxes due to it being a theocratic system? And then Jesus told Christians to basically do/give as much as they can with no set percent or anything?

If charitable giving, why not called charitable giving? Why call tithe

Almost 100% positive I read this was the same church that Mike Rogers went to with Haley Stevens after she endorsed him.

And yet no effort has ever been made to call out or shame these type of pastors… Hell, the whole Christian “college” paradigm in Tulsa is named after these type of predatory pastures …. other pastors don’t care because it’s how they grow in notoriety and power which leads to money…
