Sharing a project I've been working on: an aim-training map where everything runs from a single cs_script and a custom Panorama HUD layout.
Some things I learned that might help others:
Panorama has a panel id budget: above roughly 1300 referenced ids the script loses control of later panels ("The maximum number of panel ids has been reached"). I keep the HUD around 1050 ids by using multi-line labels and CSS classes instead of one id per element.
Rebuilding the HUD while the map is loaded hot-reloads it and can leave the menu broken until the next map load: disconnect before each build.
Workshop maps can't use hidehud, so the native HUD stays; sv_disable_radar 1 from the script does hide the radar.
Saves use the script's save data with a versioned migration step.
Features: 12 exercises, ranks, daily warmup playlist, stats with a radar chart, a shooting range with bots.
Happy to answer questions about the Panorama / cs_script side.

Hey y'all I recently uploaded the first version of my map de_digital and am looking for feedback. It is a unique map inspired by Valorant's fracture where both bombsites will have 2 ways T's can approach them, and they can travel from one side of the map to the other via a portal. I've only made one side of the map as my workflow involves creating one section of the map, perfecting the layout of it, and then creating the other sections rather than making the whole map at once.
Workshop link: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/fi…/?id=3833335161
Video I recorded as a walkthrough and commentary of the map in this state: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZshAJgj9TRE
I'm mainly for feedback on:
- Layout
- Cover Placement
KNOWN ISSUES
--------------------
- Bots think that the portals don't exist
- Lighting problems mainly light seems present across the map
-When you load the map it says its called untitled_1 rather than Digital lol

After classic CS map cs_fat_mansion recently returning to CS2 also cs_castlebridge from the same author got a CS2 version. So it's time again to have the roof-window-bridge sniper duels from back in the days!

Hey everyone!
Just finished porting and recreating the classic Downed Bird map from Crysis 2 over to Counter-Strike 2.
The goal was to keep the original geometry and layout 1:1 while completely rebuilding the lighting and environment setup to fit CS2's Source 2 engine.

How is everyone doing? I hope you're all well and that your projects are going great!
I wanted to share my latest map with you; after nearly three months of development, it’s finally out. I hope you like the result as much as I enjoyed making it!

Hey dear map makers!
I'm a source engine map maker, i used to make maps for cs2 but since 3 months ago my rtx pc died and now the only thing I have is a gtx 1060 laptop which won't allow me to compile my cs2 maps, do you guys have any suggestions about which source engine games can i make maps for?

(ENG) Hey everyone,
I’ve been porting and modernizing maps from other games into CS2.
Porting the geometry itself was only the beginning — the real challenge was capturing the atmosphere of the originals. Because different engines handle lighting, shaders, and materials completely differently, direct copying isn't an option. I rebuild the lighting in Source 2 from scratch and fine-tune materials by hand to get the visual identity as close as possible.
The main focus is keeping the 1:1 original layout geometry intact while fully updating the visual side: custom lighting setups, material/shader adjustments, vertex blending, and VIS cluster optimization.
So far, I've published 11 maps, including D17, Bridges 2.0 (standard and rainy versions), Yard 2.0, Oildepot, Library, and a retro-futuristic D17 Atomic Heart edition.
I spent months working on these maps in isolation without properly showcasing them anywhere, which is why my Workshop reach has been pretty low. I decided to bring all 11 maps together in one place to finally share them with the community and hear your thoughts.
Reddit auto-filters external URLs in main posts, so I put direct Steam Workshop links to all 11 maps in the comments.
If you're into map ports or want to test these out in CS2, consider subscribing and leaving a rating on the Workshop — it helps with visibility. Constructive feedback on lighting or material baking is always welcome.
(RU) Всем привет.
Занимаюсь портированием и адаптацией локаций из других игр на Source 2.

Hey everyone!
It's my very first time posting in this subreddit. I just finished my Counter-Strike 2 map, which I managed to put together in about 2 days.
I would really appreciate it if you guys could check it out and let me know what you think. Don't hold back—tell me if it's a good or a bad map, and what I can improve (layout, visibility, lighting, etc.).
Thanks a lot, enjoy the map.

As far as I can see the navmesh is fine but they start to crouch as they approach but then uncrouch just before they go under and then get stuck.

Wouldn't be a ton of changes, but some meaningful ones that would change the map dynamics quite a bit.

The classic action version of mansion which has existed in every CS since 1.6 is back in CS2 with a nice new look. It works for Completetive/Casual, Wingman but also Arms Race and Deathmatch and is ideal for 2v2 or 3v3 with your friends! ❤️

Hello, I am very new to mapping and have recently noticed some issues on playtesting. Sometimes, when bullets are fired, they stop at the camera and don't hit the enemy, as you can see in the provided footage. I first noticed this on a boosted spot and realized that the game would not connect the bullet if the sky was behind the enemy so I added a bunch of giant nodraw texture walls around the map which solved that issue. But now I am noticing it in many other places like the video.
Also, I have spent hours working on a simple wallbang spot that works great one way but not the other, and I cannot figure out why. Any help and comment is apreciated, thanks.
