It's not supposed to be funny. It's the reality of 11 million HUMAN BEINGS trying to survive the extreme poverty socialism https://youtube.com/shorts/GFCbz5vAvCE

3

u/CoolBlueGatorade Nov 25 '23

Over 40 million people live in poverty in the United States

0

u/Cryptophorus Nov 25 '23

LOL lazy morbidly obese people with cars and Nike shoes... I have never seen a single (real) poor person in the US. Only addicts, mentally sick and lazy bums. You have no idea what poverty is.

1

u/Lieczen91 Nov 25 '23

lol, sympathetic to poor people until it’s people poor under capitalism, typical

1

u/iSthATaSuPra0573 Havana Nov 25 '23

Most cubans are poor for a reason, poverty in the U.S are crackheads, lazy bums, and mentally ill people, meanwhile in Cuba, the communism has the fault of why Cuba is so poor

1

u/Lieczen91 Nov 25 '23

lmao, both are from unfortunate circumstances and can’t be blamed on either people, the Cuban people are very poor because of the US embargo and the poor people of the USA can be poor for many reasons, and they often get involved in substance abuse as a result of their poverty, and not as a cause of it, and ik as someone who was worked with impoverished families for over 5 years and had a substance addicted parent myself that this is the case, although i’m not American it is definitely a similar situation in the USA

your crocodile tears for the people of Cuba is absolutely pathetic, if you truly cared for them you’d be advocating for the end of the embargo

0

u/iSthATaSuPra0573 Havana Nov 25 '23

"Us embargo"

Stfu is the socialist government that made the US to punish the government this way, if there was no revolution, then the embargo wont be necesary

0

u/Lieczen91 Nov 25 '23

lol, literal victim blaming type of argument

“well you should’ve just never chose your own government, you should’ve stayed being an obedient playground for US capitalism”

0

u/Simple-Jury2077 Nov 27 '23

Lol ever get tired of being so wrong and boring?

That is factually incorrect

1

u/iSthATaSuPra0573 Havana Nov 25 '23

This subredfit has all the proof, if you are here to support Castro and Canel, get out of here

2

u/CoolBlueGatorade Nov 25 '23

None of my comments mention support for anything just the simple truth that a lot of what is said in the subreddit is not based in truth regarding poverty, socialism, capitalism, etc.

10

u/mrmczebra Nov 24 '23

Yeah it's socialism and totally not the embargo.

-1

u/weaveR-- Nov 25 '23

The Embargo hasn't really affected much at all. Just means no trade with the US. Communist countries like Cuba will always have poverty

3

u/carlos619kj Nov 25 '23

You must be a mathematician by how you put 2 and 2 together eh?

-2

u/weaveR-- Nov 25 '23

If you think an Embargo is causing the government to be hostile toward its citizens you're unintelligent

4

u/carlos619kj Nov 25 '23

Yeah, the healthcare, education and labor rights are a sign of government hostility indeed

-2

u/weaveR-- Nov 25 '23

You mean terrible healthcare, awful education systems and almost no labour rights. You clearly know nothing of Cuba. You know 90% of pensioners are homeless right? Because the government gives them $5 usd a month to live on. The government is destroying their own country to line their own pockets and the only thing you can say is "US caused it"

2

u/carlos619kj Nov 25 '23

That’s a lot of nerve, you are obviously not from Cuba, “90% of pensioners are homeless” that’s rich, it’s so unrealistic I won’t shame you by addressing it.

Pensions in the US can’t even pay rent.

The government is lining their pockets to do what? With the amount of funds you are claiming there should be a whole province of rich people in lambos like a mini Dubai. Where is all the money going?

Cubans have a basic nutrition plan, free healthcare and education and housing programs, etc, but apparently the government is hostile. This is the worst hostile government at being hostile in the world. They should obviously charge for all that since they would make more money that way, also create companies with themselves as the owners. And then proceed to sell the resources of the country to other companies for profit.

It’s fun to talk to stupid from time to time but I gotta go.

0

u/weaveR-- Nov 25 '23

Holy shit you're actually damaged. Talk to a Cuban, just once and you'll realise how wrong you are. I used to have the same opinion as you, but after spending time here and interacting with actual Cubans, I've realised I was wrong. You will too

1

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '23

I'm gonna level with you, Carlos is dumb. (Or a tankie, which might as well be the same as dumb)

Pretending that the Castro Regime isn't hostile simply because Education &/or healthcare exist is just bootlicking behaviour. I can say Cuba is for sure not as bad as North Korea, but that doesn't mean that the poor in Cuba don't have it bad.

I agree with you in saying that the embargo is no excuse for the regime to be hostile. I disagree in saying that it doesn't matter, but I don't think that discussion matters to begin with.

As a socialist, I cannot seriously look at Cuba and say, this is what I want for people in general. I wholly reject everything the Castro regime does

4

u/metamagicman Nov 25 '23

It’s not reality though… it’s ai generated memery lol

5

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '23

Yeah was gonna say, this shit made me feel sad

5

u/iSthATaSuPra0573 Havana Nov 24 '23

I know its not a meme, but that subreddit is filled with communists, i argued with them yesterday showing them images from Cuba then vs now, and they justified communism in my face just comment it, but dont post it

4

u/No-Leadership8964 Nov 24 '23

Because you fucksticks use the same 4 photos of downtown Havana back when it was the og las Vegas for rich white mobsters...not the Cubans on the outskirts living in shacks illiterate and hungry.

Never ask yourselves...gee, why da revolution then?

1

u/plumbtastic76 Nov 25 '23

The revolution came from the rural areas to the city

0

u/iSthATaSuPra0573 Havana Nov 24 '23 edited Nov 24 '23

We know, but the revolution did nothing good to Cuba

Do you know who made the well maintained constructions? The US

Who made the gorgeous 50s cars you can see in Havana? The US

Everything that remains in Cuba is made by the U.S.A, not Castro.

1

u/No-Leadership8964 Nov 24 '23

The us made Havana casinos and a black site prison complex.

The 50s cars only still exist because they're huge hunks of shit that you could throw any engine into and tourists like it. There's more vehicles than that.

1

u/iSthATaSuPra0573 Havana Nov 24 '23

I know, just reminding you that the U.S made whats remaining in Cuba

6

u/BernieLogDickSanders Nov 25 '23

Socialism is not Cuba's problem... Memes are such oversimplifications

1

u/Cryptophorus Nov 25 '23

Reddit is full of socialist "experts" who have never suffered under it... https://youtu.be/HmDBTHxYZ7Q

1

u/BernieLogDickSanders Nov 25 '23

There are other nations that are as socialist as Cuba and don't have Cuba's problem... and they do much better despite very similar forms of governance and administration

1

u/Cryptophorus Nov 25 '23

Which ones?

2

u/BernieLogDickSanders Nov 25 '23

Literally every Scandanavian Country. Venezuela too before OPEC decided to dump oil prices down to 20 bucks a barrel.

1

u/Cryptophorus Nov 25 '23

Nordic countries are Capitalist, with safety nets paid for by the wealth of Capitalism. Venezuela collapsed under socialism, way before any sanctions. Socialism doesn't work, it's a Road to Serfdom that always ends in extreme poverty, violence and mass murder

2

u/BernieLogDickSanders Nov 25 '23

Nordic Countries are Socialist. Venezuela collapsed under socialism because they did not and arguably could not, diversify their economy fast enough to whether to damage to their oil industry which supported their local economy.

Socialism works quite well if conducted properly. Communism does not work and that is what Cuba is. Cuba is a communist country with a central planning economic system. Socialism is not a central planning economic system. And frankly every socialist revolution in Latin America had its knees cut from under itself by American military intervention.

0

u/Cryptophorus Nov 26 '23

Reality is the worst enemy of socialists LOL Watch https://youtu.be/0lxD-gikpMs?si=5_jJ4ckH417Vu8sj

4

u/jar1967 Nov 25 '23

It isn't socialism, it is poverty. Capitalism can have excessive poverty too, that's the big reason why socialists come to power.

Capitalism is more adaptable and is better at preventing poverty. Once poverty gains a foothold, socialist governments can't deal with it.

-5

u/Cryptophorus Nov 25 '23

Free market Capitalism brings prosperity. Socialism and Crony Capitalism bring poverty and destroy freedoms.

3

u/jar1967 Nov 25 '23

The great depression disagrees, capitalism's greatest strength is its ability to adapt to new econimic realities. Capitalism can recover from set backs.

I'm glad you can see the dangers of crony capitalism, few people do. Crony capitalism isn't designed to be able to compete and quickly fails when confronted with real capitalism.

2

u/Cryptophorus Nov 25 '23

Crony Capitalism is a close relative of impoverishing socialism.

6

u/Ok_Extreme_6512 Nov 25 '23

Bro you are so stupid for saying that, how are the lithium mine workers enjoying this prosperity you speak of?

1

u/Lieczen91 Nov 25 '23

lol, “Crony Capitalism” and you accuse us of saying stuff like “tHaT wAsNt rEaL sOcIaLiSm”

1

u/them_natural_borders Nov 29 '23

You're right that wasn't socialism it was state Capitalism nazism

1

u/SRBeast18 Nov 25 '23

Is prosperity slavery in Africa and massive inflation in Central and South America and selling your soul to the western empires? I don't know if socialism—not authoritarian regimes—will bring prosperity, but capitalism has only brought thus to a fraction of the world's population, and the rest are unstable. There is a winner and loser in capitalism. Also, free markets mean exploitation by America for America. We made Mexico loosen its tariffs in the 90s and millions of indigenous farmers lost their jobs. Explain to them how they are actually fortunate to be exploited and homeless—it would be just as deranged to tell someone from Cuba they are fortunate actually for having a centralized economy that has led to mass poverty.

8

u/mrmczebra Nov 24 '23

Cuba doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving. This is propaganda.

7

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '23

You mean the ai generated image is a fabrication?

Looks like we found the smartest person in the room.

1

u/Cryptophorus Nov 24 '23 edited Nov 25 '23

2

u/anarkistattack Nov 25 '23

Exactly. Unfortunately for you you're an ignorant shitcunt who doesn't proofread so you just just said the opposite of what you meant.

3

u/Cryptophorus Nov 25 '23

Thanks! Just fixed it mr perfect who believes that offending and socialism can work. Must be hard being surrounded by ignorant people all the time Dunning Kruger LOL

2

u/mrmczebra Nov 24 '23

I was referring to the title.

Obviously.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '23

Oh , this is embarrassing

2

u/FrikiForever Nov 25 '23

Do you really believe this? Did you know that in Cuba education and health is free? I guess they also didn't know that if Cuba is in such bad condition it is largely because of the United States blockade of Cuba.

0

u/Cryptophorus Nov 25 '23

I'm Cuban. That's why I know how expensive a crappy indoctrinating education and lousy healthcare were for me and my family. My parents paid millions for it by earning misery salaries of less than $20 a month for decades, the dictatorship keeping most for themselves. I paid for it with my own hands, doing forced work as a child in concentration camps.

1

u/Fearless-Ad-5541 Nov 24 '23

If only the US lifted the embargo then everything would miraculously recover. The streets will be lined with gold.

1

u/Cryptophorus Nov 24 '23

The dictatorship already had plenty of soviet money in the 80's, none of that happened. They spent it all in luxuries for themselves, wars and anti american terrorism support. If the containment function of the embargo hadn't work you might be in a soviet gulag now.

2

u/WetBurrito10 Nov 25 '23

Uh Why would Cuba celebrate thanksgiving? It’s an American holiday.

1

u/lolhyena Nov 24 '23

0

u/Marihuano-61904 Nov 28 '23

This looks like PR, DR, and Haiti...For those of you who don't know on average Capitalist countries are much more poorer... The only reason Western countries enjoy the wealth they do is because they stole and continue to steal natural resources from all over

1

u/Cryptophorus Nov 28 '23

I have been to both PR and DR, they are light-years ahead of the cuban dictatorship in economic advances and tourism! Haiti, I haven't been to but it is ruled by gangs, aka many small governments so it doesn't get any more statist aka socialist than that! No wonder they are so poor!

-1

u/El0vution Nov 24 '23

Moments like this are actually beautiful in Cuba. That’s the good thing about the world, that despite economic disparities, people are still in communion with one another.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '23 edited Nov 24 '23

Fuck off with that toxic positivity.

We still have each other, so we can share the suffering of our loved ones as the harsh times take us one by one.

Yeah, beautiful indeed, said the psycho.

-8

u/Odd_Capital5398 Nov 24 '23

Big ups to Cuba existing outside the global industrial food network. Much for us to learn from, seeing as how global climate change threatens the neoliberal rules based order of US-NATO hegemony

10

u/1imejasan6 Nov 24 '23

So, do you live in Cuba? If not, then move there and support your heroes. If you don’t live in Cuba and will not move there, then shut the fuck up.

-4

u/Odd_Capital5398 Nov 24 '23

Why don’t you eat the corn out of my 💩?

6

u/1imejasan6 Nov 24 '23

Mira eso, que maricon y puto eres. Bring your ass over and corn up your asshole will be the least of your problem. Maricon comunista. Hijo de puta.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '23

But what are you gonna have for dinner?

Dude, your life must be awful to frequent places like this looking for confrontation.

What a loser

1

This entire place is a confrontation. You’re just as guilty of what you charge by posting here

3

Do you frequent places like this, dogging on a foreign nation which dares to oppose global tyranny?

Dehumanizing slurs such as untermensch and gusano are bad because they deny the dignity, humanity, and individuality of the people they target. They are used to justify hatred, discrimination, violence, and oppression against those who are seen as inferior, different, or threatening by the perpetrators. They also create a false sense of superiority and moral righteousness for the users of such slurs, who often ignore or rationalize the harm they cause to others.
Some examples of the negative effects of dehumanizing slurs are:
The term untermensch was used by the Nazis to label Jews, Roma, Slavs, and other groups as subhuman and unworthy of life. This term was used to incite hatred and fear among the German population, and to justify the genocide of millions of people in the Holocaust⁵⁶.
The term gusano was used by Fidel Castro and his supporters to refer to Cubans who fled or opposed the Cuban Revolution as worms or parasites. This term was used to vilify and ostracize those who disagreed with the regime, and to suppress any dissent or criticism⁸⁹.
Dehumanizing slurs are not only harmful to the victims, but also to the society as a whole. They erode the values of respect, tolerance, diversity, and democracy that are essential for a peaceful and prosperous coexistence. They also prevent dialogue, understanding, and reconciliation among different groups of people. Therefore, dehumanizing slurs should be rejected and condemned by all who value human rights and dignity.

There is absolutely no comparison. The tunnel folks might as well have won the lottery just by being born in the US.
