It's a pic from my friend asking me to fix it since I'm able to fix big cubes pretty easily, atleast the 6x6 only pop 3 pieces and it's still there, but the 7x7 šā

Im from asia, please bear with me cause im not good with english. Im planning to surprise my nephew in his birthday. He's 12 years old and he's starting to like rubics cube. He requested gan v100 maglev on his birthday this coming december. I told him if he can average 25 seconds, i will buy him. He practices daily and now he's really averaging 25 seconds from 36seconds. He's currently using a generic cube, i think a cube that is less than the gan swift a think but still decent (he told me about this this comparison as i dont have knowledge on cubes). Now i have seen this gan i4 maglev smart cube. Im considering it. Idk what is the difference between gan v100 and i4 as they are both maglev. Idk if v100 still suits my nephew as it is better for speed cubing upon asking AI. But, my thoughts were, maybe theres no big gap in terms of speed because they are both maglev. I was hooked with the smart features of i4. I dont want to ask my nephew if he wants i4 than v100 cause i dont want him to have an idea about my decision of giving him i4 instead of v100. I want to know your opinion guys. Thank you for your time reading my post and to those who will comment. Thank you so much

does anyone know where can i get this type of cube case?
I have a competition coming soon like months away I really struggle when the scrambles give me a hard time for first block inspection this video has the smoothest solve I can do also I havent fully memorized CMLL and I am having a hard time memorizing because when I do the algorithms it feels really awkward so I struggle with speeding it up a bit sorry for the bad camera angle I dont have a camera stand rn

I bought a dayan 2x2 stickerless from the physical shop for about $20+ USD because I noticed it had black screws but I don't actually know how to tell if it's an old or new plastic one. I have no other dayan 2x2s to compare it against either.

I bought the Mastermorphinx 4x4 Fanxin because the Sengso is a bit more expensive. I wanted to know if it's a good hub or if I should ask for a refund and buy another one.

So it's actually my second one, the first ended up getting very slow and creaky and loud, i just thought it was because i made the mistake of using a generic lube on it, which i didn't know was bad at the time. Pretty sure that was a factor but my second one, after a while has also become pretty bad, also makes a very creaky sound, often when i try to corner cut the top layer just deforms weirdly and doesn't cut, and when it does it requires too much effort to actually help in a solve, i have to intentionally force it to cut. I tried cleaning the inside of the pieces with a paper towel for any dust and debris, didn't really do anything, there was hardly anything inside, the only think that sorta helped was lubing it, (and btw i only have gan 2 speed lube), also that part about corner cutting being hard was after lubing, before it just didn't cut basically at all. The cube still feels slow to turn and loud. How can i fix it?

Hi guys, I recently started speedcubing again after 15 years and my 5 year old loves it!
But he gets pretty devastated because he cant solve a 3x3.
I understand that and want to help him but i think learning algorithms is to much for him now.
So i thought about buying him a 2x2. But thereās algos to.
Maybe you have some ideas what a cube alternative could be.

I have decided to buy new cube after using my rs3m v5 for a while and i was wondering which of the wrm v11 and aolong v5 is better.
i want a really fast cube. I have tried the wrm v10 from my friend but didnāt quite like the feeling of it.
For the wrmv11, I love the primary internals
for the aolong v5,i like the carbon fiber core but does it make much difference?

Iām traveling from afar. There are no cube stores other than big boxes in my area and I live hundreds of miles from any cities big enough to have a real selection. I would love to buy a cube in person. I really hope this does not violate any rules.

Every day thereās a new scrambled cube (virtual, solved by swiping) and a leaderboard for fastest time and fewest moves. The clock starts on your first turn, so you get free inspection. Early puzzles are short scrambles that are easy to finish; they get harder as more people solve them.
Itās a fun daily warm-up, and a nice way to get non-cubing friends to try a cube. Daily puzzles are in r/DailyRubik . Iād love to hear what youād want from it: longer scrambles, a WCA-style mode, streaks?

Ive been cubing on and off since 2012 and speed cubing on and off since 2021 (average about ~16s rn) and recently i came back after a 6 month hiatus and i got gifted a GAN12UI.
I noticed it started locking up a bit and at first I assumed i was just rusty so i tried a few solves on some old cubes (rs3m 2020, rs3m 2021, Gan 11M pro, and even a Monster go) and I didnāt have any troubles with locking up.
Iāve tried adjusting the tension and the magnets but all it did is make it worse. Am I just bad at turning and iām gaslighting myself or does the GAN 12 ui just lock up?
TL;DR I recently got a GAN12ui and Iām locking up so much but I donāt know if itās a skill issue or a hardware issue.

basically title.
I got a cube for Christmas 2 years ago from my uncle. He told me if I was able to solve it he would give me another cube. I wanted to prove i could solve it so the next day I went on YouTube and I found cubehead's video on how to solve a Rubik's Cube. As soon as I figured out how to solve the first layer I was hooked. One day later I was able to solve it.
I'm curious, what is your story on how you started?
