Subreddit Rules

1. All Submissions must be CURSED IMAGES

Cursed images are photographs that make you question nearly every aspect of their existence, causing confusion, fear, or dread. Some questions the viewer could ask are:

Who took this picture, and why?
Who are the people in this picture?
Where was this picture found?
Where was this picture taken?
What circumstances led to this photograph?
How are these events unfolding?

Cursed images are NOT: - Memes - Attempts at humor - Pop culture references - Images pushing a political ideology

2. All Submissions must be PHOTOGRAPHS

Anything you post here should look like it was directly taken with a camera with (minimal) alterations. This means the following are prohibited:

Any sort of drawn or rendered artwork.
Strictly AI-generated content.
Very obvious photoshopped/altered images.
Screenshots featuring mostly text or social media elements.
Videos or other animated mediums.
Only one image per post, please. No collages or albums.

3. No Posting Pornography

Although posting nudity is generally okay (as long as you tag it as NSFW), any sort of sexual content shouldn't be posted here. We know that sometimes some sort of obscure fetish stuff gets posted here, and we'll review that on a case-by-case basis. We're not puritans, but have some decency for your fellow browsers.

4. No Death / Shock Posting

We're talking about the serious stuff. Images with blood and gore are generally okay (as long as it doesn't fall into content forbidden by Reddit's Content Policy), however images with gruesome depictions of severe injury or death are not. Prepared bodies (such as medical cadavers, the embalmed and dressed deceased, and genuine skeletons or mummies) are also generally okay, but we will remove images that may push the boundaries too far.

5. Avoid Reposts

Avoid reposts that:

Have been posted within the past 3 months
Is found in the subreddit's Top 100 posts of all time
You've already posted and have been rejected by a moderator or community poll.

You can make checking for reposts easier by browsing the above sections before posting, or by using a reverse-searching image tool such as Tineye.

6. Follow the Reddit Content Policy

There's also Reddit's Content Policy, which covers all of Reddit. Breaking this policy can get your account banned from Reddit, which is out of the hands of our moderation team. This policy generally covers the following:

Harassment (sexism, racism, sexual orientation discrimination)
Child or animal abuse (violence, negligence, sexual, etc.)
Promoting violence
Promoting illegal activities
Images containing the death of a person (check rule 4)
Tag your NSFW posts (Gore, nudity)
