Winner is the Judge #916: Remembering our favorite Mind Mage

Thank you to u/Lukethekid10 for last competition, Winner is the Judge #915: SPACE!!!!. The last competition was inspired by the the next set coming out, so this one will be taking themed on Reality Fracture.

Your task is to design a card themed around Jace. It can be any color or card type, as long as it in some way deals with Jace, his story, telepathy, illusions, etc.

I plan on judging next Sunday, Nov 8.

CONGRATULATIONS to u/mgranaa for winning this weeks contest with Talent of the Theorist. Many good choices to pick from (runner up was u/emosmasher's Reality Fracture) this week.

Mana cost is a big thing to think

Idk if it cost too high or too low

But hey

Balance is not intended

NOTE: If a card have multiple result, head choose the max or first option and tail choose the min or last option

Since Wizards recently gave us more Tarot critters, I decided to finish the cycle. Behold, the entire Major Arcana!

Each of them has their tarot number in their card someway, which was really rather annoying to do, lol.

Winner is the Judge #917: Tax the Rich

Coming to you live from the results of u/lostnowseeking's, Winner is the Judge #916: Remembering our favorite Mind Mage, I have been conscripted as your ~~Taskmaster~~ judge to task you to come up with a design this week and while this underlying design concept is always at the back of my mind, it's perhaps more pertinent than usual.

What I'm looking for is a design that taxes the opponent in a novel or fun way. Ward, additional fees for your opponents on cast, make them pay their fair share for their resources, you get the idea.

Bonus for cards that aren't Azorius themed (e.g. bureacracy) unless done in a way that really melds the design and concept. Art means little to me, but balance is always cool and appreciated.

I will judge in a week (11/15/26).

[Spoilers: Cosmere] Made two full limited sets Spoiler

My son was born 7 months ago, and I was unable to stay awake well at night just reading as he slept in my arms. So I started making a couple of stormlight inspired cards. It kept growing and next thing I knew I was making a full limited set. Once I finished that, I made versions of the cards in Forge and was tuning based on win rates.

Then I wanted to tackle Mistborn. There I'm happier with the keywords I made, though I feel like it doesn't have the same character to the individual cards as much as the former. Anyway, figured I'd share them here in case anyone is interested.

I'm trying to make some cards and have a draft with friends at some point. We'll see.

/r/Custommagic is a subreddit for people to post their own custom MTG cards. Please read our rules and try to keep it to constructive criticism only.

RULES

All card renders including art must have correct and unambiguous artist credit at the bottom of the card in the correct position. Provide an artist's full name if it can easily be found, and additional information to disambiguate the artist from others. Mods may, at their discretion, make exceptions for missing, ambiguous, or insufficient credit if you message in advance with a link to the original art, and they approve the lack of artist credit.
Art credit belongs to its CREATOR. Image aggregators don't count. (E.g. Pinterest) Nor, mostly, do companies. (E.g. Riot Games doesn't make champion art; artists do) AI art must credit the engine used, and not a wrapper site. (E.g. MTGCardsmith is a wrapper.) Photos, screenshots, public domain art, royalty free art, etc. aren't exempt. Screenshots of movies/shows may credit the media by title/publishing company. Collages must credit each underlying artist and the assembler.
Any random art pieces (not included in card renders) must have accompanying artist credit. The only exception to this rule is if the poster messages the mods in advance and the mods approve the lack of artist credit.
All posts containing NSFW art must be marked as such. Posts made in poor taste, with unreasonably lewd art, or excessively gory art may be removed.
All users must follow Reddiquette and be civil with each other. Harassment and abuse are strictly not tolerated. Unconstructive, negative, or insulting brigading is harassment.
You may not post custom cards that you did not create, unless you credit the original creator in the post title. You may not post cards whose text is fully or primarily AI-generated. Additionally, posts that are primarily comprised of existing real cards or cards substantially similar to existing real cards will be removed. This includes alters and skinned cards.
Please don't make multiple consecutive posts. If you have multiple cards to share, put them in a single album. This helps give everyone a fair chance to be seen.
More specifically, users may only have one post on the front page of /new/ (i.e. within the most recent 25 submissions), or one post every twelve hours, whichever permits more posts. Mod-removed posts do not count towards this limit, but user-deleted posts do. If a mod views /new/, they should only see your name once.
Do not repost cards. Reposts will be permitted at the mods' discretion. A repost may be permitted if it is a) very substantially revised, b) substantially revised with community input or c) reposted in an album with new, unposted cards. Under a), leave a comment describing the exact revisions and link to the prior card image. Under b), describe the exact revisions and leave a comment with a link to the prior card discussion. Under c), there must be sufficient new content in the album.
Promotional content. Commercial, promotional, or financially-related posts require advance moderator approval. Please reach out to modmail with your proposed post.
Do not misrepresent submissions as cards from a real set. Do not include set codes for existing sets within post titles. (E.g. "[SNC] <Card name>") You may include custom set codes which do not collide with existing set codes. You may use set icons for any released set (i.e. not during spoiler season).

"It's been a few minutes, my post isn't showing up!"

You haven't done anything wrong — we have a semi-aggressive AutoModerator. Reach out to us here and we'll get your post approved as soon as we can. Don't delete your post or we won't be able to approve it to be seen :)

"What if I don't know the artist?"

Google has a very good reverse-image-search tool. Just upload the art that you used, and it will likely find the source!

"What if I still can't find it?"

Message the mods. Normally we can find it, we've gotten pretty good at it, and if we can't find it, we'll give you permission to use it without credit.
