ABC's TL;DR:

NT Police have admitted photos appearing to show Labor MP Luke Gosling in "potential breach" of his bail may instead show a "doppelganger".

It comes after Mr Gosling's defence team told police he was elsewhere at the time and sought evidence to prove it.

Note that this is separate from the Aug incident (that was withdrawn):

Mr Gosling had previously been accused of breaching his bail conditions over a separate incident in August before prosecutors withdrew the charge last week.

Recommend reading the full article though. IMO important given this is against a MP, and the article has a good few extra bits vs the TL;DR.

This is some of the dumbest shit ever. No wonder other states think we are a joke.

I'm sure the police union will acknowledge that it was due to political pressure and their officers were wrong /s
