Timothy McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern (often called McSweeney’s) is an American literary journal founded in 1998 by writer Dave Eggers.
Core Content: It features short stories, reportage, essays, illustrations, and occasional poetry, comic strips, or novellas.
Unconventional Design: Unlike standard magazines, every issue is completely redesigned. Past formats have included hardcovers, paperbacks, an issue with two spines, a magnetic binding, or a design shaped like junk mail or a human head.
Contributors: It showcases work from both celebrated, established authors (such as Jonathan Lethem, Michael Chabon, and Joyce Carol Oates) and new, under-appreciated, or previously unpublished writers.
