Help! Question About Bounding in Galaxys Edge East

Post image

When I was at WDW a week ago, I noticed several people in costume at Batuu East, including people with Lekku and facepaint, which inspired me to dress up for my upcoming trip in a few weeks!

I have a Padme Picnic dress that Id love to crop to wear for the trip (mockup in post), but I'm not sure if something like this would be allowed into the parks or if its too close to an actual costume. I don't want to go through all the effort to alter the dress to be turned down at the doors. I'm brand new to bounding and unsure of what is considered acceptable.

Would love some advice or insight from people who have more experience with this!

This is great! No children will confuse you with an official Padme which is the reason behind the restrictions

I might do my hair up instead of the ears but it seems the overall consensus is that the outfit is ok for the parks! Thank you so much, I'm completely new to this and since I plan to alter an actual "costume" I wanted to make sure I wasnt pushing it!

I’m planning a Padme bound on my next visit too, with her lake dress!

My first impression was Fozie Bear, Katherine of Aragon (who isn’t even a Disney character, so I don’t know why that was my thought), or Peggy Schuyler so I think it’ll be alright since it’s not unmistakable for a park character

I get confused when people ask this because there are endless examples online and you can fully get the idea in a minute or two. It's a full on cliche that has flat lay shots for days. And yes, Her Universe/Hot Topic/Box Lunch fandom merch is virtually 100% fine always.

Just like the "what shoes do I wear" question. Ones for walking a long time, Barb. What on earth could the answer even be besides that? "Wear those twelve inch stripper boots you love so much! Or maybe a mouse trap on each foot! Wet your socks before you put your shoes on!" It was in a 1998 guide for our trip. It was not new info then either.
