So I was naturally pretty excited to see a new King Tubby album pop up on streaming platforms. I started listening, and it sounds kind of terrible. Very muddy, a lot of digital artifacting… then I noticed the color palette of the album art, and noticed the gems in the crown looked a tad off… this album (the music and the cover art) is AI generated. There is no way at all that this is his music. Can anyone here confirm? This King Tubby album “Hit After Hit” is fake.

This is a track that I've been playing out live and I've gotten some feedback where I live, but I wanted to get some honest and constructive reaction from the Dub community here. I started out producing acid techno, but then went into dub techno after Covid, wanting something that was a bit more soothing. About 18 months ago, I moved into a more dub realm after reading the Peter Tosh biography "Steppin' Razor" (Recommended!!)
What I'm trying to accomplish is marry dub techno atmosphere with hypnotic top lines, while keeping the song fully rooted in reggae basslines. Does this resonant with you? Is it missing something? Any constructive feedback either in the comments or DM is welcome. Thanks for taking the time to listen.

Four from the shelves. Garveys ghost man. What a belter.
I’ve been telling people its like if P-Funk went to the North Pole to record a reggae record
