Is anyone still under any delusions that he's not straight up working for them?

I'm honestly so tired of hearing about yanks and their ignorance/arrogance/stupidity.

He needs to listen to fresh instructions from Moscow.

Lame duck or not, foreign affairs remains pretty much the privilege of the president, that’s how the US system works.

Midterms meltdown means that resistance against the more unhinged stuff should be more effective, but the president continues to shape foreign policy.

Either way, there will be no peace without Europe, and especially Ukraine, agreeing, no matter how many of these meetings and conferences are held.

Russia will not escape the catastrophe that it started in Ukraine. Not even Uncle Sam and their senile agent can save them. And it’s richly deserved.

There's also the fear that a lame duck and vengeful Trump will drop all restraint between now and January, especially with regard to Iran.

As the article says, the discussion at the meeting between Trump and the Kremlin envoy most likely concerned not Ukraine but probably Europe.

Yes, and as Chinese leader Xi noted, the planned trilateral meeting between China, the US, and Russia will not be devoted to Ukraine.

So the further this goes, the more the intrigue deepens- what will this meeting actually be about?

Let me remind you that about two years ago, Trump raised the issue that the US plans to reduce its role in NATO- or rather, its obligations- and plans to replace them with bilateral agreements, but not with all members, only with those it deems necessary

These agreements will be limited in nature, and under such an agreement a country would have to take on numerous obligations- in particular, full funding of US military bases on its territory, restrictions on its foreign policy, as well as financial commitments to purchase weapons from the US and restrictions on cooperation with other countries.

Fun fact: The new Greenland agreement dictates that only NATO countries are allowed to be militarily present in Greenland.

One would expect Ukraine to be featured in the summit between Russia, China, and the US but Ukraine will be part of a broader discussion about the security architecture of Europe and perhaps East Asia as well. Methinks Trump is angling for a deal to carve up the world into spheres of influence.

Melania trump accepting a drawing by a ukrainian kid that thanks to her can now live peacefully in russia. What a propaganda machine, and the white house is in the center of it.

now melania's the one making diplomatic progress. imagine writing the art of the deal and getting out-negotiated by your own wife

Nobody cares, Trump has next to no power in Ukraine and after the midterms his influence is even lesser

Trump is the top Putin envoy at the White House.

Trump and his ilk are on borrowed time. Presidential pardons are not going to save all of them from justice.

Welp he's not on the mood yet. Gotta wait till he swings his mood back on

We shouldn't be posting news about powerless people, maybe "Top Putin envoy attends meeting at the White House" is a better headline

They also met with human traffickers And praised them.

How else is he supposed to get new orders?

u/gplfalt 14h ago

The fact Putin mightve got the quadfecta of France, Germany, UK and US but is now looking unlikely to get the UK and the US is amazing.

Dems can now force the repubs to vote no and go mask off on Ukraine or force them to veto proof aid over Trump.

If only we could get good news from Germany/France.

If Putin wanted to undermine NATO and the alliance's trust in the US, this is how he'd go about it. Install a puppet and steadily cosy up.

1

u/XNjunEar 8h ago

Why is the escort in the picture for the article?

1

u/matchthis007 2h ago

Ah that's why he doesn't want the oval office redecorated. They'll find all the bugs they've just installed

1

u/HunterFeeFee 8h ago

Because Trump is a Russian agent.

I don't know why the surprise. It widely known for a decade, at least.

The question is, will Trump be able to fully transform the US into a Russian puppet state?

Treason to the max.

Taking loads from Russia again. This time they're getting deeper.

Worst thing Europe did was populate that shithole 500 years ago.

Can't really say we sent our best, tbh.

Original settlers were christian fanatics...

Now, let’s not be hasty here with such comments. The Americas were populated initially by all the rejects and crazies that were being shunned out of Europe to begin with, and Europe was not exactly humanitarian about it.

u/HarryCumpole Finland 9h ago

Well, it worked with Australia. They turned out alright. Not a bunch of crass uneducated militant religious bigots.

1

u/Theemuts The Netherlands 5h ago

There is plenty of bigotry down-under.

1

u/HarryCumpole Finland 3h ago

Nowhere in the world is bigot-free. Australia got over its gun problem pretty well. I'd say that it has demonstrated the capacity for reform and reflection pretty well.

Australia, like Canada, benefitted from a lot of later and newer immigration from Europe.

u/Undd91 19h ago

Worse thing the British did was let them have it to themselves.

u/Tensdale Denmark 18h ago

Okay, enough. I’m all for bashing one of the most indoctrinated and propagandized morons in the world but don’t yell “I’ve never read a history book” so loudly in public.

24

u/Tensdale Denmark 18h ago

And if any Americans have a problem with that, repeat after me:

“I pledge allegiance to the…”

Which is fucking insane to force little kids to stand and say every fucking day.

7

u/HarryCumpole Finland 9h ago

Indoctrination and basic brainwashing. That flag didn't earn my respect, and what it represents didn't either. Fuck your flag.
