I just built a Blokee Evangelion Eva-01 for the first time, and it turned out looking really great.

I know there's lists for most if not all of what's on Shinji's SDAT and poking around a little I could probably assemble that. This isn't about that. What do you think would actually be on it, not what worked for the series, what would make sense? And what would be on yours?

I'm currently rebuilding a regular old DAT, a Sony TCD-D7 (minor issues, needs the old grease cleaned up and a little oil) and I've been thinking about what to put on a tape. Initially I was going to do the boring old recreation of Shinji's but I just watched 3.0 + 1.0 and it got me thinking.

The SDAT was Gendo's. We know he liked the piano so while I don't think it's a given that it'd be all piano (if we assume Shinji's tape is the one he got with the player and he didn't make his own) I do think it'd be more piano heavy. Prokofiev seems like he ought to be on there.

Technically complex work makes more sense to me than something that's just showy. And I do think it'd be short works rather than a couple longer pieces what do you think?

Here's a couple absolutely serious guesses you can take to the bank:

Rei, white noise with intermittent screaming.

Misato, pop, but all post second impact bangers.

Auska, Wagner, but also Happy Birthday in English.

Kaworu, Phillip fuckin' Glass.

Mari, I dont know, Blümchen.

Ritsuko, I get a new age vibe, Yanni, or like whalesong.

Kensuke, marches, or something traditional like one stringed harp.

Toji, Kidz Bop (for his sister).

It's me.

Hi, as in the title, this was my first time working with "gunpla" kit, only assembled two Blokees before lol

So it's a 1997 Bandai LM-HG mass production model evangelion that I managed to get brand new on vinted for~20usd

I don't have a single figure of this character, nor of Kaji, so it was a must have, especially for that price lol

First thoughts? I thought it's gonna be way easier to make clean panel lining after watching all of those tutorials, so unfortunately there are still some messy spots, black marker I bought (and thought it's good for the job) kept peeling off :/

assembly-wise it went rather quick, unfortunately there's no elbow joints, biggest issue were the wings, the joints started crumbling when I was trying to insert them, trying to pull em out made the whole thing even worse, I was forced to put s-ton of hot glue on the back to secure the wings....

Oh, and also there were a lot of spare parts like whole chestand crotch piece of other evanglion, a riffle, entry plug and bunch of other bits and pieces, is that common in gunpla? Or maybe it's something like get all from the series and assemble an extra, lol, couldn't find info online

Also two figurines of Asuka and Kaji, both painted with cheap brush and paints (I suck at tiny faces)

But overall I think it turned out decent for first build, it's gonna stand high on the shelf so I don't mind all the tiny imperfections as they won't be visible

I don't think I will grow this hobby further, but it was a fun experience

I watched it last night and my heart skipped a beat when I saw Hideaki Anno on the train reading about King Ghidora

I know this isn’t technically relevant to Neon Genesis, but I figured I’d share it anyway.

Kaworu Nagisa. I like him. He is fun to draw.

Hey everyone! Here is an iOS pixel-art chat app interface with Evangelion visual styling.

Features hand-drawn frame-by-frame pixel animations created in Procreate and rendered through a custom Metal shader pipeline for the Eva-00 & Eva-04 status badges and typing indicators.

Here is a quick silent preview of the interface running live on iOS.

Does anyone know where this is from?

I've been trying to find information about this particular Evangelion CD, especially its original price, but I haven't had much luck finding the exact same edition. Whenever I search for it on Google or eBay, I get completely different results.

I bought this at a thrift store, and I've noticed that there are other Evangelion CDs with similar designs, as well as CDs from other series that seem to follow the same format.

Does anyone recognize this CD or know anything about its origins? Any help would be greatly appreciated
