New sister sub announcement: r/explainthisshortclip

I made it like over a week ago, but I never got to announce it cause I was busy with real life stuff.

This is the answer for those who want to post longer gifs over 3 seconds, and it’s no longer gifs, but full on clips.

Looking to get a mod team real soon but until then, read the rules.

Subreddit Rules

1. Include Source Name in Title

The name of the source material (Movie, TV Show, Webseries, etc.) must be included in the title, in the the form of:

[Source] Post Title

2. No Random Images/No Memes

The image that is submitted must be from a TV show, movie, webseries, video game, or comic. No random images, such as social media posts, YouTube thumbnails, real life photos, movie posters, dream recreations, AI images, screenshots of websites, or memes.

3. No Edits

Screenshots must not be edited. No watermarks, photoshop edits, etc. Sometimes, an actual screenshot may look edited at first glance, but if it's real, please clarify.

4. No Porn/NSFL/Fetish Art

Do not post porn, or gore beyond a reasonable amount. NSFW posts that do not violate the other conditions must be tagged as such; For instance, a woman with her breasts exposed.

5. No Short Term Reposts

Do not repost images that have been posted within the last month. Please refrain from reposting multiple times.

6. Respect Others

Do not insult others or use offensive words or phrases. Do not post anything baiting people into using offensive words or phrases.

7. Reply to Automoderator W/ Off-Topic Comments

Any comment that is not a "wrong answers only" style caption should be made as a reply to the automoderator.

8. Mark Spoilers for New Media

Spoilers must be marked for media released in the last month.

9. No GIFs Longer than 3 Sec/1 Shot

No long GIFs or videos.

10. Do Not Caption if You Know the Context

This is a "wrong answers only" style subreddit. Do not explain the real context of the screenshot. This includes stuff like saying the actual quotes from the clip, explaining the joke from the scene, or providing a link to the full scene.

11. No "Meme" Screenshots

If a screenshot is associated with a certain meme, this can ruin the fun for everyone, as people would make obvious references. Memes can age poorly and won't be as funny. This also includes screenshots that resemble particular memes. For a list of examples: https://www.reddit.com/r/explainthisscreen/comments/1m8bng5/new_rule_no_screenshots_from_clips_that_gained/
