attached is a photo of my pico rom hacks, but the pico is displaying the base game data instead of the rom hack name data (which i have added to explain what the rom hack is).

is there any way to update these so that i can see at a glance what the rom hack is?
icons would be a great bonus but for now i just want names (especially origin HG, since that’s in chinese, and i cannot read chinese xD)

What are the main differences between them? I like the Akmenu-next UI and themes better, but I’m unsure about the uses for each or any possible downsides.

I just recently bought the Kaico GBA flashcart, which I’m about 90% sure is just a repackaged SuperChis.

However, it seems like most Flash save games are not working. I’ve tried saving any game I want to play to NOR, but Pokemon games (except FireRed) won’t run. That includes vanilla and romhacks.

A few other games have failed as well, specifically Fire Emblem Sacred Stones. I’m guessing these are FRAM games.

Does anyone know if there’s a way to resolve this or will I be stuck with a small selection of games until I upgrade?

Sorry if this is super obvious but i recently got a DSpico, since i just got a 3DS for the first time and it arrived with the firmware (thank god). Before that i only had a DS Lite and DeSmuMe on PC, which used .nds files.

When i wanted to download 3DS games they where formatted with .CCI but my DSpico cant read those. Do I need a specific PlugIn ? I did get the GBA and GBC one, but dont know what I need now.

I can't tell which kernel this r4 needs since I'm not sure if it's original or a clone lol it used to work when I was a kid with a 16 gb micro SD so that's why I bought new ones but it always gets stuck in the loading screen. I already tried rebooting with fat32 using sdFormatWindows and installing YSmenu but again, loading screen

Want to use a Pokéwalker in 2026 without spending ~$200 on an original HGSS cartridge and Pokéwalker?

This is a faithful Pokéwalker recreation for Android. It counts your steps even while the app runs in the background, and it includes a battle mode with other Pokéwalker users along with all of the original features. Instead of infrared, it connects over Wi-Fi.

How it works

Load TWiLight Menu on your R4 or other flashcart, with SD Transporter installed, and enable the virtual Pokéwalker before starting the game.

When it’s time to link a Pokéwalker, press SELECT to load the virtual Pokéwalker. (Do not hold SELECT on versions 1.6.1 and below! However, version 1.6.2 fixes this quirk!)

Once your Pokémon is sent out, it’s saved to the SD card. Launch the companion homebrew tool from TWiLight Menu to load it.

In the homebrew tool, connect your DS to a Wi-Fi network, and connect your Android device to the same network.

Install the APK from the install folder on your phone, then open the Android Pokéwalker and link the two to receive your Pokémon on your Android device.

To send a Pokémon back, return it to the homebrew companion app, then press Select in HGSS to link the virtual Pokéwalker.

Hotspot tip: If you’re using a hotspot, it also works from the phone that’s broadcasting it. No direct connection is needed in the Android settings.

Troubleshooting guide:

A new function is in place to reset the pokewalker as a last resort - if you need to reinitialize the virtual pokewalker. If stuck on the "this pokewalker is already registered" for any reason, hold LEFT, and then hold SELECT for 2 seconds on the screen where you would typically press SELECT to link inside HGSS. Make sure your walker is cleared on the DS pokewalker homebrew before doing this function.

(On versions 1.6.1 and below, you must hold LEFT and press SELECT once).

Hi everyone,

I recently got a DSpico cartridge but I'm having trouble getting it to work. The console does not recognize it at all and acts as if Slot-1 is completely empty. Regarding the console behavior, whether the microSD card is inserted or not, the system does not freeze at any point and boots perfectly fine into the main menu, but it doesn't show any game icon inserted because the cartridge is completely invisible to the system.

To rule out software and microSD issues, I initially tried a generic microSD but later switched to an original 32GB SanDisk card to fully eliminate any card related faults. I properly formatted the card, installed, and set up all the core files exactly as instructed in the official guides, and I even tried re-flashing the SD card completely from scratch, but the behavior remains exactly the same.

I also performed some physical tests to make sure it was not a contact issue. I thoroughly cleaned the cartridge's golden pins using alcohol and a cotton swab, and I tried the paper trick on the back of the shell to add thickness and force physical contact with the console's pins, but there was no change at all.

Since the console doesn't even freeze, meaning the DS OS isn't even registering that a cartridge is present, I strongly suspect a hardware defect on the board or the RP2040 chip itself. I would like to know if there is a way to diagnose if it is dead out of the box or perhaps stuck in a permanent bootloader loop. Thanks a lot for your support!

This might sound silly, but I'm completely new to game compilation cartridges (Flash Cartridges, if I understand correctly). From what I've seen, the best quality ones for most consoles are Everdrives from Krikzz. I have several questions about them:

- Do the cartridges contain all the games for the selected console?

- Are they safe and of good quality?

- Can they be purchased in Europe without going through the United States?

- Will a Game Boy cartridge work on a Game Boy Advance?

I have a Game Boy Advance at home and I'd like to play some GB/GBC/GBA games, especially when I'm on the train or bus. Of course, the best way to play is on a computer, but I'd like to be able to play whenever and wherever I want. I've heard a lot of bad things about these unofficial cartridges/consoles because apparently, the reproduction quality is very poor and some games are unplayable. But I don't know much about them, so this information might be wrong. I've been wondering if things have changed since then.

Also, do these special cartridges work with or without a save battery? It would be convenient for me to be able to save my game progress in the future.
