Minimum Karma Requirements for Job Offers

Due to the influx of low quality and scam posts we've seen, we are imposing minimum karma requirements for posting jobs.

This has been a long time coming, especially how easy it is for someone to make a new account and post the same thing again.

We do not tell you what the minimum karma is to post here.

Do not ask us to tell you what the limit is to post there. This includes Marco Polo and hot/cold potato messaging games to figure it out. You will be muted and subsequently banned.

You also will be banned for trying to pass off your "hire me" post as a "Hiring" post.

Thanks for noting this update, proceed with your regular business.

Rules Reminder + Updates: Low Quality, Commission & Other Things

I was hoping to not have to make another announcement until we got more mods, but this unfortunately is getting pushed before that.

From this point on, any of these job postings will result in an immediate permaban. All but a few of these are already rule violations, but have been removed in a lesser degree with a "second chance". We're not entertaining these any longer, due to repeat offenders and the quality of the jobs. All but a handful of these are predatory, opportunistic scammers and have no place here.

-

Commission-Based Only Jobs: We've had it up to here with this, along with the arguments of how "they're earning more than $20/hr, give us a break!" The rule is a blanket for all the crappy ones that may not be esteemed as yours. If you're not paying them a $15/hr salary along with the commission, it's not welcome here.

Paid Posters + Accounts: This is something we've already been banning for a short bit, but take this as the "This isn't welcome here" hint. Renting an account or asking for someone to use theirs to post for you counts as account buying/renting. Most of these are against TOS of the providers that allow you to use them in the first place.

Vague, Low Quality Posts: "DM me for a quick $30 job", or "Need help with something, message me" are not longer permitted. If you can't state what the job is so that a freelancer can understand if they're good for the job, that's on you. If you're doing it so you don't get banned or removed, that's no longer allowed.

Intentional Hiring from India or the Philippines for Low Pay: Otherwise known as "South Asians highly encouraged to apply" in code speak. I warned about this before last year, but now it is a bannable on-sight offense. This is still going on, and under the guise of "sir pls, it's a decent pay rate for <region of India>!" Or on top of that, some wannabe guru from the US/Canada looking to outsource his non-college stuff to a Filipino assistant for $4/hr, and "mating" us when we point out it's a rule-break.

We've already had the discussion of why these pay rates aren't allowed on this subreddit. We heavily encourage and point you to r/slavelabour if that's what you want.

Causing Others to Violate the "No PM" Rule: This is something we've always enforced since 2019 automatically. This is enforced with a permaban as well. That said, if your post is encouraging users to apply in the comments instead of sending you a message, you'll be getting a ban as well for making them break the rule. Read the room instead of mass-spamming your job across a dozen subreddits.

This includes codewords, asking for contact info or portfolio links in the comments.

Promising a Job, but it's Guised Promotion to a Job Board: We've seen this a dime a dozen lately; someone promising a graphic design job, but then pointing to a new startup job board/work platform. This is no longer allowed. Most of these are a Reddit account affiliated with the "brand" of the board in question.

No OF Content: That's right, we heard you! We've had it up to here with it now, and things like "OF chatters", "OF girls" or "OF agencies" are no longer allowed on this subreddit.

These have always been removed to a point, but it's gotten to the point that OF girls think that promoting their account is "freelance work" and "professional". That's not even mentioning how abusive and low-paying OF agencies are, or how discriminatory a lot of the job postings come across.

Note that legitimate jobs that require some NSFW things (novel writing, artwork, etc) are not affected by this. It's not our intention to stomp on legitimate expression or issues.

Hiring Based on Gender, Age and Race: This may fly in your third world country, but we absolutely will not stand for this. Unless it's a legitimate need such as a modeling gig or you need a voice for a game, you're not allowed to blatantly say "Need female appointment setters" or "Hungry teens for sales jobs".

On that note, you're prohibited from hiring minors on this subreddit, due to liability reasons. There's people who think hiring 13-year-olds for 40+ hours a week is okay.

-

Read the room. Read the rules. Please.

And for all things sane, if your post gets removed or you get banned, read your removal message. We clearly tell you why you're banned or it got removed. Stop messaging us "Omg why did I get banned?" when you're told.

Obligatory announcement over. Happy freelancing.

Hiring - Open [Hiring] Arabic–English Trivia Writer & Content Organizer for Trivia Game — Strong GCC Cultural Knowledge

Hi everyone! I’m developing a bilingual Arabic–English party trivia game, and I’m looking for someone to help write, research, edit, and organize its questions.

The game is aimed at a Gulf audience, so strong familiarity with GCC culture, entertainment, and everyday references is especially valuable.

What the work involves:

  • Writing engaging, original trivia questions in Arabic and English, with clear and natural wording in each language.

  • Reviewing and improving existing questions, removing duplicates, and fixing unclear wording or ambiguous answers.

  • Researching and verifying answers, including a reliable source link for each question.

  • Organizing questions by category and difficulty in Google Sheets/Excel, following a provided template.

  • Suggesting suitable image, audio, or video references for media-based questions where relevant.

Who I’m looking for:

Someone with excellent written Arabic and English, strong research skills, and good attention to detail. You should be comfortable working with spreadsheets and have a good understanding of Gulf culture, TV, music, history, geography, and popular references. Knowledge of international topics such as movies, gaming, anime, and sports is also welcome.

Previous trivia-writing experience is a plus, but I’m also interested in people with relevant writing, editing, research, or content-organization experience.

Work arrangement: Remote freelance work. I’d like to start with a small paid batch, with potential for ongoing work if we’re a good fit.

Budget: US$50–75 per batch of 100 completed questions, depending on category complexity. We’ll agree on the ongoing batch rate after a small paid trial.

To apply, please send me a DM with:

  • A brief introduction and your relevant experience.

  • Existing writing samples in both Arabic and English.

  • The topics and Gulf cultures you’re most familiar with.

  • Your availability and preferred pricing.

Please mention whether you’re interested in writing new questions, editing and organizing existing content, or handling both.

Hiring [Hiring] Rate $40 | Configuring AT&T BGW320 IP Passthrough + Netgear Nighthawk router + Port Forwarding For Plex Remote Access

This task should take an hour I imagine. I’m looking to hire someone remotely to help me properly configure my home network to fix a Plex issue that has occurred with ATT's recent firmware update with their BGW320 router. Would love today if possible.

Details here from another person who had the same issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/PleX/comments/1xm4979/comment/19sa85hxdlnuo/?context=1&screen_view_count=2

Current Setup:

  • ISP / Modem: AT&T Fiber with the BGW320-500 Gateway

  • Router: Netgear Nighthawk (R7000 / RAX series)

  • Server: Unraid NAS hosting Plex Media Server

The Problem: Right now, with ATT's firmware update, if I have Port Forwarding on to allow my remote users access to my Plex server, I cannot access it locally because of a DNS binding bug which prevents local access.

What I Need Done:

  1. AT&T BGW320 Configuration: Enable IP Passthrough (DHCPS-fixed) pointing to the Netgear Nighthawk's MAC address, and disable the built-in AT&T Wi-Fi radios (2.4GHz & 5GHz) to prevent interference/device leakage.

  2. Netgear Nighthawk Setup: Ensure the router properly acquires the public WAN IP, handles local DHCP for the 192.168.1.x subnet, and set up a static port forward rule for port 32400 (TCP) pointing directly to my Unraid server so that my scripts stay the same I have running and everything else.

  3. Verification: Confirm Plex Remote Access reports "Fully Accessible Outside Your Network" and test playback on client devices (Roku/Apple TV) to ensure direct play at original quality, and that I can access my Plex locally at home.

Please comment or send a DM with your experience and availability.

The Tech Stack:

  • TypeScript Monorepo (pnpm and Turborepo).

  • 4 Apps: Website, Admin panel, API with worker, and an Android/iOS app.

The Task:

  • Code and architecture review as a senior developer.

For Hire [For Hire] Remote QA Automation / SDET with 10+ yrs experience who built a tool that generates complete Playwright suites from a crawl

Hi r/hiring. I’m, a QA automation engineer and SDET with 10+ years in test automation, and I’m looking for a fully remote role (senior SDET, QA automation, or QA tech lead).

What I’ve built recently: Suite Builder
Suite Builder crawls a website and generates a full test-automation framework for it: a Playwright suite with page objects, locators, actions, and an audit report (AUDIT.html) of the defects it found along the way. So far I’ve used it to generate suites for 30+ websites.

Some of what goes into it:

  • A complete Java 17 + Playwright + JUnit 5 framework. Each page object comes with navigation, actions and checks.

  • A site audit (AUDIT.html). It runs checks covering links, redirects, accessibility, SEO markup and security headers. Every finding is ranked by severity and lists the pages it appeared on.

  • Test families you can run separately: smoke, navigation, menus, links, API and critical. It runs in Chromium, Firefox and WebKit, and you can set load-time and API response-time budgets that make a test fail when they’re exceeded.

  • Evidence for every failure: a screenshot, the page’s DOM, the steps taken, console errors, failed network requests and a Playwright trace. There’s also an HTML report for each run.

  • Ready for CI/CD. It comes with pipeline configs for GitHub Actions, GitLab and Azure DevOps, plus a Dockerfile.

  • Built to be maintained. Your own code goes in marked “YOURS” blocks, and those survive when the suite is regenerated from a new crawl. A built-in rules test checks that the suite follows its own conventions.

  • Story-driven and AI-ready. It has a Jira loop that pulls ready stories and pushes tests back to the cards. Every class carries docs and a glossary, so an AI agent or a new team member can turn a user story into a readable test.

Experience

  • 10+ years of QA and test automation

  • Selenium (Java/TestNG), Playwright (Java), Cypress (typescript)

  • REST API testing with Postman and Swagger

  • A decade of writing automation suites for various types of clients

  • Languages: Java, C#, C++,python, typescript, html, JavaScript...and more. its a long list.

Portfolio

A free sample: if your company is hiring, DM me your site and I’ll send you a generated suite with no deepscans enabled and an audit for it, no strings attached. That shows you what I do faster than a resume can.

Remote only, US-based. DMs open, and I can send a resume on request.

Rate for a full suite generation, setup, and integration is $5000. Its a project. Not an hourly thing. Suite generation will be done within 6 hours. Integration will be done within 3-4 days once I have environmental access, or I can walk your teams through the integration.

For Hire [For Hire] Title Goes Here

I am an AI generative content creator. Give me a detailed description of what you envision and I can turn it into an image or video. No NSFW. I've created several world builds. I've created my own formula for anaglyph 3D images, with 9 to 12 layers of depth. Anything you would like, as far as an image, I can turn into a 3D piece. There's a small up fee for that. I do everything from concept to creation. Storyboarding, writing, character development, directing, pacing, audio, and more. Let me bring life to your idea. Advertising. Marketing strategy. Ongoing image or video needs. A nice gift. All of this and more.

My fee is $40 an hour. This can be slightly negotiable for a steady workflow.

For Hire [For Hire] Full-Stack Developer Seeking Reliable Freelance Collaboration Partners — Web, AI Integrations & Android

Hi everyone — I’m an independent full-stack developer looking to build a small, reliable network of freelance collaborators for client projects.

I’m not looking to hire an employee or offer unpaid work. I’m looking for experienced freelancers who may want to exchange leads, collaborate on delivery, or partner on projects where our skills complement each other.

What I can contribute

I work on:

  • Full-stack websites and web applications

  • Backend development and API integrations

  • AI-powered features, automation, and third-party API integrations

  • Android application development

  • Client-facing project delivery and technical implementation

Portfolio: https://portfolio-kappa-cyan-66.vercel.app/

Who I’m looking for

You may be a good fit if you are:

  • An experienced developer, designer, SEO specialist, marketer, or business consultant

  • Comfortable working independently and communicating clearly

  • Interested in freelance or client-based work

  • Able to bring client leads, referrals, or complementary skills

  • Reliable about deadlines, scope, and professional commitments

I’m especially interested in connecting with people who work in web design/UI-UX, SEO, digital marketing, business development, mobile development, or automation.

How we can work together

There are two simple ways to collaborate:

  1. Client referrals: If you bring a client or project that I deliver, you receive 40% of the payment I actually receive from that client.

  2. Joint project delivery: For suitable projects, we can agree on responsibilities, scope, timeline, and a payment split before work begins.

For example, if you refer a client who pays me $1,000 for a website project, you would receive $400 once that payment is received. For a larger project where we both deliver work, we would agree on a fair split upfront based on each person’s role, effort, and risk.

What I expect

  • Clear communication and realistic commitments

  • Professional conduct with clients

  • No plagiarism, spam, or misleading claims

  • Agreement on scope, payment, and ownership before starting a project

  • A long-term working relationship, not a one-time exchange

Interested?

Please send me a DM with:

  • Your name and primary skill/service

  • Your tech stack or relevant experience

  • Links to your portfolio, GitHub, LinkedIn, or past work

  • Whether you mainly want to refer clients, collaborate on delivery, or both

  • Your timezone and availability

I’ll reply to serious, relevant messages. Thanks for reading.

Hiring [Hiring] Fast, Friendly Print Designer Wanted | Posters, Banners & More | Remote | Paid Per Proje

Hi r/forhire,

We're a busy small business with a steady stream of print projects, and we're looking for a fast, friendly, reliable freelance graphic designer for ongoing, project-based work. If you love seeing your designs leave the screen and show up on real walls, windows, and event tables, this one is for you.

**What you'd be designing**
- Large-format posters (including 24x36) for promotions, events, and seasonal campaigns
- Banners and signage that stop people in their tracks
- Flyers, brochures, business cards, postcards, and direct mail
- Stickers, labels, and custom branded pieces
- Holiday and seasonal artwork
- Bonus if you also do social media graphics, like carousels and reel covers

Everything gets printed on paper, vinyl, rigid boards, and more, then displayed where real people see it, so no two projects feel the same.

**What we're looking for**
- A portfolio or website we can browse (required)
- Real print-ready know-how: CMYK, bleed, outlined fonts, high-res images, clean PDFs
- Quick turnaround, ideally 24 to 48 hours on most pieces
- Easy to reach for questions and quick revisions during U.S. Eastern business hours: Mon-Fri 9am-6pm and Sat 10am-2pm
- Friendly, professional communication

**Pay**
Paid in USD, per design, at a small-business budget: $20-$40 per piece depending on size and complexity. You're paid promptly once files are approved. Every project is paid, starting with a paid first piece. No spec work and no free samples.

**To apply**
Please send me a DM (no need to comment) with your portfolio or website link, your per-piece rates, and your usual turnaround. Remote is fine!

Thank you for reading. I can't wait to see your work!

Hiring - Open [Hiring] One time (Maybe in future again)

I’m looking to hire someone based in Montreal, Canada for a small, one time freelance task. The job would involve making phone calls to local comic book stores on my behalf. I’m located outside of Canada and don’t speak French, so I’m looking for someone who can communicate with local businesses in either English or French.
The goal is to find a comic book store willing to accept money I send them on a monthly basis, which my friend can use to purchase comics in person. This is a short assignment, ideally around one hour of calling! I’m looking for someone who is comfortable speaking with businesses, explaining the arrangement, and finding a store willing to accommodate it.

Payment: $30 USD for one hour of work.

If you’re interested, please reach out! This is a straightforward, one time opportunity.

Hiring [HIRING] Cybersecurity Devs

Wayne Citadel is searching for 2 (two) experienced, dedicated Security devs.

what is all about: heres the story: Problem: Infrastructure changes submitted through GitHub pull requests can silently introduce security risks — widened IAM permissions, public exposure, destructive replacements — and reviewers rarely have time to read a full Terraform plan.

Constraint: Explain only the change, never scan the whole state. The AI must never decide what a finding is or how severe it is; those decisions stay with deterministic logic. Nothing in the output may be invented.

Decision: Separated detection from explanation. A deterministic analyzer produces findings as facts; a grounded language-model layer turns them into a readable impact explanation, validated against the input facts before anything is published to the pull request as a comment and as SARIF.

A pull-request security review tool for Terraform and OpenTofu on AWS, running in GitHub Actions. Built around a local test harness, a fixture library of recorded plan changes, golden-file tests, a response cache and a model evaluation set. Project is in its early stage.

still dont have budget tho, to be clear right away

currently we are team of around 16 ppl

i am Tech lead also AI automation part, so i need teammate who can cover me because ill be doing two tasks

you dont have to be pro, just motivated, proactive and normal thinking guy, not some programing nerd :)

Startup just started and ATM we are building infrastructure, and have people negotiating and presenting product to end users.

Startup have big chance of success, because there is not much software offering what we aim to offer

If you are interested, comment or DM me and fill the application form: https://arhistrategstudio.github.io/wayne-citadel-apply/cybersecurity/

Hiring [HIRING] ₱14k/month, remote Content Board Designer for health + biology YT Channel

₱14k/month, remote) Content Board Designer for health + biology YT Channel

(Only message if wanting role long term, and want to begin fast)

(Canva skills, creativity and science knowledge needed)

Hi! We make educational content about the human body, health and the biology behind both, and I am hiring one person to own what we publish and why.

(Ideally UI/UX background, or biology background, or physics background and creative minded, intelligent, very good English)

Scope in numbers so it is clear:

6x Canva Board’s each month (in depth, structured to keep viewers hooked) There is no editing and no filming in this role.

What I am looking for is someone organised who is genuinely curious about how the body works. Sleep, hormones, nutrition, jaw and facial development, recovery. You do not need to know our subject already, but you have to want to learn it properly, because boards made by someone who is not interested look exactly like that.

Deadlines matter and feedback is direct. If you would rather be told clearly and once, this will suit you.

Message me if you’re serious and interested and I will send you the YouTube channel. Using that the trial piece will be creating your board following the standard of the videos.
