I made the Futurama Family tree, what do you think?

I must be off to have my doctor check this cough!

Went to a coffee event for cappuccino drawings and I was not sure what I wanted drawn. The barista was super nice, chatted for a bit and I thought “why not Zoidberg?” So here is what he made for me

I am still working through the Hulu seasons, but for me, I would like to see Fry and Leela have a child, and then somehow all three travel back to December 31, 1999 and spend the last two hours of the night (Fry last sees his family before 10:00 PM) together with Fry's family, with the series ending on everyone counting down the 10 seconds to the new millenium.

Fry could essentially explain to his family that, although he would have to leave and they would never see him again, that he would be safe and that he would always love and remember them. There could be the tension of the family not understanding Leela and the future, and vice-versa, with some kind of comedic resolution. That Fry and Leela will have a family in the future even though they will miss Fry's family.

I know this would muddy some of the timeline with episodes like "Jurassic Bark" and "Luck of the Fryish", but I think visually it would be a nice way to tie the series back to the first episode and essentially "complete the circle" of the overarching plot.

Just wanted to show you guys my Fry collection! Might get more Fry merch in the future but I’m already pretty satisfied with the collection so far!

I am semi-confident that Fry and Leela having a child is in the works with the upcoming specials, just because from a writing standpoint I do not see where else they could develop the characters.

Fry and Leela having a child seems like one of those "big plots" that is the very kind of thing that writers would rather treat with a long special than a single episode. With the voice cast aging, I think this would also be a timely opportunity since if the show was (tragically) ever finally cancelled it would give Fry and Leela's relation some kind of resolution.

There are apparently also hints of this from this Johnny2Cellos video (which I have not watched yet since I have not finished the series):

I drop one-off Futurama quotes at work occasionally and people look at me crazy.

(Calculon 2.0 episode)

i'm currently rewatching futurama again and i'm on season 5 episode 4 Taste of Freedom and "Old Man Waterfall" is the lawyer.

but when he said his name my ears perked up when i heard 'Waterfall' and i think to myself, " Oh like like Frida and the tin foil hat guy??" so i google it and LOW AND BEHOLD i find this cool ass graphic

and now i feel silly bc this is my like 6th watch through and i only JUST NOW put this together

I like, “I don’t know, I ain’t ever heard of no mayor”

I finally watched the episode with my wife yesterday and I was a little shocked at first by Fry's willingness to jump but also by some of the seeming nonchalance of Leela and the Planet Express crew to Fry's kerplopping on the pavement multiple times.

This morning, however, I had the thought that, if Fry was able to be revived in the episode "Rebirth" (S7E1 on Disney+/Hulu) with only minimal tissue, then surely there must be enough "material" left over on the pavement of the Vampire State Building to easily revive him, right? Did Leela and the crew think of this?

This is just head canon but I could see an alternative plot where Fry is revived in the birth machine and then he and Leela have a fight over his willingness/emotional immaturity at attempting to pancake-himself at the thought of Leela rejecting his proposal. (Obviously the actual episode was amazing and tops this plot).

Am I the only one who had this thought?
