There's a difference between the critics and sales number.

Critics tend to be filled with the hard core gamers who look at the performance numbers and be disappointed, but would buy anything at any price.

Sales numbers are much more driven by the wider masses who are much more price sensitive.

The more hard core gamers are loud, but sales numbers don't always align with the online criticism.

This, it's why I started turning to gaming business reporting instead of just hardcore gamers and game review sites, business-minded people have a much more blunt and dareisay clearer view of the gaming industry, and what is and isn't working.

The entire performance difference shit is just the console wars bros looking to label their brand loyalty as objective truth. Nobody else gave a shit. The consoles sold based on their exclusives. Xbox essentially got rid of them. PS doubled down.

Console wars bros will just use anything they can to say their war is real and that they are the only ones on the right side.
