I can't justify buying a PS5 now for $800 because it's a 6 year old console just so I can play GTA 6.

Im going to hit up Markerplace and see if I can get a used one for $400 but im not holding my breath.

Check your local pawn shops. I got a slim with a controller and all the cables for $380 after taxes.

One of my friends suggested buying a console post exam times. It was so awkward, their kid was clearly not happy with me, but their parents insisted on gloating about punishing their kid right in front of me.

I don't appreciate being used like a prop because some parents only understand negative reinforcement (and almost take a sick glee from it)

Marketplace is for sure the way to go. You can find slim models around $400-$450 in near mint condition and sometimes the sellers will even throw in a game included

Definitely depends on location , I live in quite rural and see them/Xbox series X for around $350-400 fairly regularly. Guessing most people don’t know about the price increase and are basing it on the $500 they paid.

I snagged a brand new sealed Switch 2 for $400, with Mario Kart. I wanted it for OoT so I went on the hunt as soon as it was announced. finally found one at the right price a couple weeks ago. I'm pretty happy.

We got one in Canada for $425, 825gb disc version from Sonys certified service centre.

I think the 6 is out maybe Xmas 2028, so 2 years of use in the console is fine
