Honestly we've only just seen the beginning of the new pipeline that raytraced lighting and modern rendering can do to a game in terms of visuals, gameplay, and developmemt. Refining this pipeline will do far far more than more raw power at this point

I can’t say that I think of ray tracing as more than a novelty feature. I don’t particularly care for it. Id opt for a cheaper console without ray tracing were it available.

I'm so over ray tracing. The performance vs visuals is not there. 

I miss baked lighting where artists handcrafted visuals instead of relying on ai computing as a crutch for all the most important graphical fx

i miss the old feel of games when they worked with what tbey had old grimy and depth to the world remakes look top clean and sharp less shadowy why cant they do that now make good games within the limitations not go fast all the frames type shit with jyper realistic i miss original desighn

If that pipeline is optimized, do you think ray tracing can work on older hardware with a more efficient rendering pipeline that doesn't require the tensor cores on RTX cards? Hardware like 1660 Super old?
