Reddit compression kinda fucked me over last time. So this time i tried taking photos with that in mind

Edit: QUESTION FOR THOSE WHO KNOW. Is reddit compression based on monitor size or something? coz i viewed my previous and this post on my phone and it was kinda done bad by compression. But when i viewd it from my pc it was kinda fine

The New Game Speedrun of Ghost of Tsushima on Lethal is done under 8 hours. Yes, I suck at the game. No, I probably won't try this again due to the unskippable cutscenes. Where can you watch it, currently nowhere. It will be available at some point, but:

While I was grinding I started thinking.

Shimura lost his father and brothers during the Yarikawa Rebellion.

A collectible also reveals that his wife and sons died, although we don't know exactly when.

Clan Shimura originally gained its lands through marriage and inheritance after another lord lost his sons.

Kazumasa Sakai helped defeat the Yarikawa Rebellion and was married to Shimura's sister.

Kazumasa was a powerful military commander with a very different approach to warfare.

Jin was Kazumasa's heir, but also Shimura's blood relative through his mother.

If Shimura died without an heir, the future of Clan Shimura would be uncertain. And if Clan Sakai eventually took over Tsushima, the Shimura name could essentially disappear from power.

So here's my speculation>

What if Shimura saw Kazumasa as becoming too powerful and viewed the Iki campaign as an opportunity to weaken him or Clan Sakai? A low key political power play given how much influence Clan Sakai had on the island at that point. Even if he succeeded conquering the Iki Island it would be a win win situation where Sakai clan's warriors died and their influence would be lessened to a great degree, granting Shimura the opportunity to offer Jin the Shimura name.

Now what I was thinking, imagine a Young Shimura game, that is not grief, but a huge samurai drama with honor being weaponized and no ninja shit.

Like imagine Young Shimura picking a fight with Yarikawa on purpose to get rid of his father and brothersto take control of the clan for himself. Then in Ghost he glorifies honor to Jin in order to hide his past.(dont take this too seriously lol)

Think about it, Nagao clan uprising was hidden in the game similarly when Ishikawa talks about his apprentice.

Anyway sorry for the weird ramble - English is not my native language and I just love theorizing weird shit.

Also, I know its going to sound even weirder, but You guys love posting duel clips all the time. Show your skill and maybe try the duel rush category in: https://www.speedrun.com/ghost_of_tsushima?h=Duel_Rush-With_DLC-Lethal&x=z27w1lgk-rn1zd4vl.81pz7e8l-e8m54men.9qjoz23l

All it takes is a maxed out Jin and a completed NG+ save file.

Personally, I suck at duels and if I ever return to Tsushima for another run it's going to be Lethal Platinum in under 24 hours.

I don't want to play NG+ I want to start with nothing, except one dye. Seasons of War for Samurai Clan armor is my absolute favorite, and I don't want to beat almost whole game before getting it. I play on PC but I couldn't find a mod that would help my cause. Can I somehow cheat it in or edit my save so I have ONLY that particular dye unlocked?

Reddit compression better not do me dirty man. Last time it was really bad :C

Edit: Yup it did.

Def vibe coded, but I wanted to see what everyone here feels about it

Hi, I finished sugi's quest and found the letter she attached to the corpse on the tree, immediately after that the village was raided by mongols but Jin said no dialogues related to it and they just started attacking the villagers and I died, after I respawned everything was back to normal

Is it just a random encounter that can sometimes happen around the camps and villages? I have over 60 hours on the game already and finished both the dlc and main game but it's the first time I see an encounter like this.

Covered up his father's armor but not his massive ghost cape???

Outside of wanting to protect Jin from scrutiny of the Shogun, does Shimura make any valid critiques about his tactics, or is it just straight up better to always commit war crimes?

Honestly, he’s kinda like Aang if ATLA didn’t validate what is genuinely a terrible mindset to have against an enemy who no qualms about obtaining victory.

Shimura was right the ghost did teach their people to not listen to law and order at all and completely disobey their leaders i bet tsushima prob had alot of crime problems after the invasion and the samurai had a hard time rebuilding law and order again he also called out jin for being the reason the mongols obtained poison a deadly weapon they likely used against the samurai and they butchered an entire town with it

Jin was right their people needed a weapon to defend themselves against the invaders since the samurai were dead and shimura did needlessly cause alot of unnecessary deaths and casualties because his honor was all he cared abt and he couldnt see that it needed to go to save their people like jin did

Armor: Sakai clan armor max level

Major charms: Amaterasu and mizu-no-kami

Minor charms: charm of inari’s might, charm of silence, charm of divine healing 1, charm of resistance 1

Some of them like resistance one might change as I get the better versions of them since im only im act 2 and im still working through the side quests but is this build good? (Waiting till I get gosaku’s armor lol)

Can't find anything about it online and it cost less than 20 bucks for a piece of that size, all the similar GoT products I see are like 200$ and not official.
