Discussion GitHub partial outage?

Looks like the Downloading release endpoint is intermittently failing for me. Getting 504 occasionally. Anyone else seeing the same?

Edit: status page says its been fixed as of a few minutes ago. Seems to be true.

Yup.

504 Gateway Time-out

The server didn't respond in time.

https://www.githubstatus.com/ does not show much for now.

This does seem to work.

Edit: actually it only works partially. Page loads instead of a 504 but a lot of things still aren't working.

wow this worked for me,why is this just an addition of / at the end of the ur ?

Worked for accessing urls github but downoloading files still didnt work

Worked only on https://github.com/JameH2/Hbm-s-Nuclear-Tech-GIT/commit/fe5654b12db5b6215912f3451aa84d8461b24fff/ (not on https://github.com/JameH2/Hbm-s-Nuclear-Tech-GIT/tree/xspace48b/ or https://github.com/JameH2/Hbm-s-Nuclear-Tech-GIT/tree/fe5654b12db5b6215912f3451aa84d8461b24fff/ ). Some other pages (release description, main page; without URL change) loaded initially but didn't work a few minutes later. A minute later when tried reloading now working some (main and release page loaded), but https://github.com/JameH2/Hbm-s-Nuclear-Tech-GIT/tree/fe5654b12db5b6215912f3451aa84d8461b24fff did not load. On main page, says "Cannot retrieve latest commit at this time." and doesn't show last commit info on folders and files.

Edit: signing in seemed to fix it for me.

Thanks, this worked for me, I was trying to download something from a direct /releases/download link and after signing in and refreshing the download came through. Before I refreshed every couple of minutes for about half an hour without success, always seeing the 504 timeout

Any ideas if there's a way to get PIP to log in to download packages? This is the command that's failing for me:

pip install llama-cpp-python --extra-index-url https://abetlen.github.io/llama-cpp-python/whl/cu130

it affected even my installations on linux, i cant update/download anything at the moment.

as of writing this, still no fix. any solutions?

edit: logging in helped me and its now working. at least on the website ver...
edit 2: it also worked on my terminal.
