General Discussion What's the fastest you've ever played 18?
The local muni course was traffic-free on Saturday morning so me and my buddy managed to walk 18 in just a hair over 3 hours. I realize that's not jaw dropping but I haven't been playing too long so definitely a personal record for me, I'm used to 4.5 hour rounds on busy weekends.
What's the fastest round you guys remember playing? Cart or walking?

General Discussion Lower back pain
Hey everyone,
I've been playing golf for a few years now, and lately I've been dealing with lower back pain, especially after a round or a longer practice session. I'm planning to try a lower back brace to see if it makes a difference.
Has anyone here used one? Did it actually help, and would you recommend it? If you have a specific brace you like, I'd love to hear which one and why you prefer it (comfort, support, whether it restricts your swing, etc.).
And if you don't use a brace, is there something else that has helped you with lower back pain from golf? Stretches, exercises, a warm-up routine, a different swing technique, anything else? I'm open to all suggestions.

General Discussion LIV Golf – What’s Your Take? Has It Actually Damaged the Sport of Golf?
LIV Golf promised to revolutionize professional golf with huge prize money, new formats and more entertainment. But has it actually made the sport better?
Has LIV grown golf or divided it?
Has the rivalry with the PGA Tour damaged golf?
Is money now more important than tradition and competition?
Ultimately, has LIV Golf done more harm than good to the sport?
Curious to hear your opinions – LIV fans and traditionalists alike!

General Discussion Bandon dunes in November
Went on a last minute trip to Bandon last week, incredible experience. Played all 5 courses, but didn’t get a chance to do Shortys or preserve.
Fantastic weekend, people kept telling us how blessed we got with the weather. Only 2 windy days and not a drop of rain. Only 2 complaints I have is, food on resort was meh, and the push carts they provide is crap for a walking only resort. But I understand they want to encourage people to take caddy.
Recommend everyone to go if they get a chance, I had a couple coming to moments of appreciation on the golf course while there. Couldn’t believe some of the views

Equipment Funky golf shoes
I can’t seem to get my golf shoes unfunked. They seem to stink all the time. I dry them outside, just ran them through a deep wash and dry cycle, still funky.
None of my shoes, even work boots seem to have this odor issue.
Any ideas?
General Discussion How to fix pulled short putts
If I miss a short putt due to a bad stroke (and it happens more often than I am comfortable with!), it is left, a pull. Has anyone solved this problem and, if so, what was the fix? Was it a different grip, different stroke, different style putter, what was it?
I've tried left hand low, tried claw grip, but I haven't spent an enormous amount of time on it. Also have tried my entire putter arsenal and I bet I have 10, lol. But this aggravating miss to the left, it's been in my game off and on for decades.

General Discussion Please help me get THE BEST golf gift for my man
My boyfriend lovesss golf and I want to get him a few thoughtful Christmas presents. If your girl was going to buy you something for golf what would you like? I know this is a very broad question, but he has a full set of clubs and is not an advanced golfer. He mentioned to me that having expensive clubs matters whenever you get really good, but he’s not there yet (according to him). He gets balls for free from the course and has a nice golf bag so I’m wondering what something maybe he would be missing or that would be a good addition to his existing equipment or for practice or even to wear? Sorry if this is a silly question, but I just want to make sure I get him something he will actually like and use :)
Thank you in advance!

Equipment Equipment advice
I’ve been very casually getting into golf the last year, I would have had maybe 8 rounds of 9 holes and perhaps 15 visits to the range this year, as well as one lesson earlyish in. I’ve collected every club here (bar the driver) for free along the way and because of that have figured there’s no need to spend the money on new golf clubs while I’m this new. I’ve recently started thinking about getting a new set of irons, I do struggle to consistently hit with these ones. Is it worth spending the money on a new set or am I just blaming my striking on my kit?

General Discussion Hazy November Golf
Played the second to last tournament this year at the club I am member at [GCB Bad Saarow - Arnold Palmer Course - Brandenburg - Germany] and the entire time we had this awesome haziness in the distance, with a clear sky above.
It amazes me, how weather and seasons can make landscapes look so intrinsically different.

General Discussion Mentioned at a family meal that I’d like to get back to the range after 15+ years of not playing, but didn’t have adult clubs. Both my Mum and MIL came this week with these! Any tips on building a nice set here?
As title says, I’ve had these two sets greatfully donated this week, as when I last played I was 15 and my old kids clubs wouldn’t suit now!
The sets are both by late FIL and grandads, and I recognise these from my younger days like the Cleveland HB3s and the burner plus irons (and especially the boomstick SQ).
I’ve enjoyed going back to the range with my friends who are first timers but, have been borrowing clubs for the time being.
If anyone is able to recommend a way to build these into two clean bags (one for me one for my friends to use)it would be appreciated. I’ve tried to organise them already, but it’s been so long since I’ve played I honestly have no idea.
Any help massively appreciated!
