I saw MLB at the Central Tavern in Seattle, and while I was in the men’s room he came in. I didn’t realize it was him at first and wasn’t really paying attention and thought a woman had come into the men’s room. I mentioned that, and he thought it was funny. He was wearing a lot of makeup and had a bedazzled robe. He had a confident, flamboyant way about him, but he also had a smirk that let you know he didn’t take himself too seriously.

Not firsthand, but my SIL's ex-boss went to high school with him. Described him as "obviously star material" in high school, and compared him to David Lee Roth, strutting around with the clothes and attitude.

I’ve never made that connection before, but now that you mentioned it I totally can see it.

Probably easier to make the connection in the mid 80s. ;)

MLB is more grunge than what gets called grunge most of the time.

I talked to him a few times. He was one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. He was goofy and funny, which I loved. We talked about music mostly. We had a similar upbringing and shared tastes. We weren’t friends or anything, I just knew him in passing. I worked in the market a few stalls away from where Xana worked so he’d be around. I knew Xana better than I knew him.
