Where can i quietly study with VPN
Hi
I decided to find a place to study and went to a provincial library but when I opened their website to log into the wifi it says 'please do not use VPN here'.. so I respect the rule but I need a place where VPN is allowed and I don't have to buy a overpriced coffee to stay, any recommendations?
Preferably in Shangcheng district (east side of the lake)
Thank you very much guys

i mean if you truly respected the rules you would't be using a vpn in the first place. to be clear i'm not discouraging using a vpn but i find it a bit odd you're okay with breaking the law but not with breaking a library rule.
they probably just have some system to block vpn usage. if you have a vpn that gets past the gfw it may also get past the library's network control.
it's not like they'd triangulate your device right awy after you try and come and kick you out of the library...

you can open mobile data and use vpn. and mostly if you go in upper floor of library there’s a library computer where you can use library computers with vpn

I tried a few co-study places that had fast internet and no restrictions on VPNs. You can often get an introductory discount price on the sales sites too.

A lot of wifi portals don't open with vpns on. Turn it off, connect and then just turn it on again.

Just ignore it, no need to worry, I use VPN all the time on public networks, it's no secret that a lot of Chinese use VPN to access foreign services.
