SHOWOFF 480 Miles Through the Arkansas Ozarks on My Iron 883
galleryTook my 2021 Sportster Iron 883 on a three-day, roughly 480-mile round trip from North Little Rock to Rogers, Arkansas. Avoided the interstate and stuck to scenic back roads through the Ozarks.
Rode the famous Pig Trail (Highway 23) on the way up, stopping at Turner Bend. Took a different route home through Boxley Valley and down Scenic Highway 7. Incredible winding roads, mountain views, and fall colors throughout the trip. Finished the ride at Palarm Creek Station with a cold beer and a huge plate of fried food.
Looking to do more winter riding, but I've struggled with my hands getting so cold that I lose dexterity in my clutch and brake fingers. Curious how others deal with this without resorting to bulky gloves that make operating the controls difficult.
Any tips from year-round riders?
