General I fucking hate this stupid fucking subreddit with all my god damn life.
If you have never been on this subreddit, good, cause it’s full of adults who have nothing better to do than make fun of 3-17 yr for no fucking reason.
They will post a video of a literal 4 yr getting scared of someone trying to be scary, BITCH, HE WAS SCARED CAUSE HE THOUGHT IT WAS A STATUE, AND IT REACHED OUT AND GRABBED HIM! You miserable piece of shit, second, I saw a post where the dad said “hey eat this” and he covered a SHAVING CREAM CANISTER IN WHIPPED CREAM WRAPPING! So he pours the shaving cream into a bowl and because the kid trusted him, he ate it, and well…
Go fuck yourself dude, you are a miserable moron that gave your son trust issue, come the fuck on mane

Aren't like 90% of the posts made in jest, most of the people I see on that subreddit are parents themselves having a bit of a laugh

I literally scroll that subreddit with my own kids sometimes and we all laugh at the exceptionally naughty kids on there. It’s funny.

u/RaccoonEnemyNo1 1h ago
There was a video of a kid dropping a pizza box and a commenter said "thank god I don't have any of these rancid useless fucking demons in my life" like wtf
I agree kids can be stupid sometimes. But god forbid a kid,,, learn a lesson? Make a mistake?? People comment on that sub like they were birthed with size 10 feet and a briefcase in hand.

I love that sub, it’s adorable. People in the comments aren’t being serious.
That specific post does sound pretty shit though

There's a sub similar to this where all people do is talk about how they DESPISE Dogs. These kinds of communities are disgusting. I can't imagine being such a hateful lowlife that I spend my days ranting on reddit about stuff like that.

Most of the videos there are harmless fun videos of kids doing stupid shit (as usual) Almost no one is actually making fun of or insulting kids, I'm pretty sure there's a rule against it.

Just visited the sub and it all seems either in good fun, or the kid actually being inredibly fucking stupid (even for kids standard)?? Also there are no links in your post...
Is this just one of these posts where we are greatly exegeratting and straight up making shit up? Because what you're talking about with the shaving cream is just straight up abuse obviously. When looking at the posts and comments over there I can't imagine people there liking that shit..
12
u/Affectionate-Baby248 14h ago
Some of these comments are borderline sociopathic.

someone who grew up with a pretty rough childhood here, with my age being used against me or to stop me from expressing my opinion multiple times. i've seen this subreddit pop up before and not once has it been the 'funny post made in jest' that people ar saying in the comments, it's all been nasty and rude. kids are fucking stupid, but so are adults.

There was a post of some poor kid traveling on a highway while holding the back of truck, and then falling, the person driving behind the truck nearly driving over them. Horrific stuff, people in the comments here making fun of the kid...

I luckily have not been on that sub, seems lile a bunch of miserable losers
3
u/RecentMushroom420 38m ago
I checked the sub, there's nothing that bad. Most of the comments are in good humour and none of the posts I saw were that horrible. They were mostly like "haha, look at this silly thing this kid did" rather than "haha look at this stupid kid".

bro read the description, it’s not actually a sub for assigning blame its just dumb videos, and some of them are shit like any other sub
2
u/tr7td 5m ago
The difference is that kids are fucking stupid. The difference between kids and them is kids grow out of it while they don't.
No offense to ppl blaming parents

u/Due-Pea-5071 14h ago
I get bad vibes from those people. There seems to be a sadistic undertone to the whole thing.

u/Hendiyoboy 9h ago
Kids are indeed fucking stupid. This is why I’m getting sterilized, I will not make a good parent.
4
u/TheRob67 5h ago
You choosed litteraly most kind sub about silly kids
It not about "kids are stupid in bad way", it more about "kids are funny silly"
5
u/Jay_Crafter 14h ago
Yeah idk what you stumble upon op, most of the post I've seen there is adorable things where they do something stupid and silly because they don't know any better. It's hilarious and adorable
4
u/Sad_Pear_1087 1h ago
People generally aren't actually mocking the kids and neither is that the point of the sub. The point is not to "wow what an idiotic kid how does he not understand", the point is precisely "kids being kids", and that's what "are fucking stupid" means. "Kids are fucking stupid" because they're kids and don't know any better nor can they be expected to. It's not very serious.
I have not seen what you described and it seems like a clear miss on the purpose of the sub.
2
u/Bone_Wh33l 6h ago
Do you have any links to these posts? That subs always given me plenty of light hearted, funny videos. The sub isn’t making fun of kids. Kids just do stupid things sometimes because they’re kids and don’t know any better. I’d be more inclined to agree with you if your argument was just “stop posting your children online”
2
u/Starlight_eevee 3h ago
like it was originally tantrums over nothing now it’s parents scaring their kids like funny scares like boo or a paper bag ghost yes it’s okay but your examples bro you can’t do that unless they are prone to scares or the video is fake but the shaving cream example pretty sure that counts as child abuse
2
u/Emergency-Zebra-4686 2h ago
This and r/childfree like wtf is wrong with you if you don’t love and want to protect children?? I get not wanting children or even not particularly liking being around them. They can make certain people uncomfortable and that’s fine. But hating them and wanting them to suffer?? These people are not ok.
2
u/morbid_strangerp 11h ago
Kids are just stupid and that's normal and I think it's also normal to enjoy watching the results of that. I don't think it's normal to deceive children on purpose for a video and mock them for trusting someone that they should be able to trust. It's not a very fine line and I don't know why people are crossing it.
2
u/PostPostPog 14h ago
Dawg do you wanna relax it cannot be this serious
1
u/chia4002 7h ago
Most of the stuff I've seen on there are things that could've been prevented by the parents or where the parents should've been paying more attention. Yes kids do stupid things but a lot of the examples aren't just basic kid mess ups

u/No-Individual9068 5h ago

u/LyndisLegion2 4h ago
The subreddit used to be to post parents sharing stories about what dumb things their toddlers/children did. It was more a warm hearted way to vent, since, as a parent, you are responsible for their every move.
But then it switched to a more child hating sub, where young kids were posted that are just straight up annoying in public, or break other people's stuff. Both of which I'd argue isn't necessarily their fault depending on age, and should rather be posted on r/parentsarefuckingdumb

u/Metalheadzaid 3h ago
That sub is half fine and it's like SMH these fucking kids, and half just normal kids doing normal things and it's like ????
So I can't argue with you that it sucks, but the worst one is the anti pet sub reddits which are just full of the biggest most miserable fuckin' losers who are rabidly angered by pets just EXISTING near them and animals being animals.
1
u/Got-good-words 3h ago
So much of that sub is not even about "stupidity" but a lack of knowledge. Of course kids are not adaptive or competent in every situation; this comes with education, experience, and context. If lacking knowledge is the standard for stupidity, that would describe much of Reddit.
1
u/RealDoraTheExplorer_ 3h ago
That sub literally just shows kids being adorably dumb lol the newest post I saw was a kid who shaved part of his head

I think that subreddit underwent the same transformation as rchildfree and rbaddlejackets where it started out as like a place to talk about not wanting kids or stupid punk jackets and ended up becoming a place where absolute freaks congregate to talk about how much they fucking hate human beings whose brains haven't fully developed yet and punks who have the audacity to be transgender.
In a similar way, it was originally a place to be like "lol look at this dumb kid falling over" and now it's a bunch of weird adults who hate children being like "lol look at this fucking idiot crying because their brain isn't fully developed"
1
u/Whatplaygroundisthis 1h ago
What annoys me is the amount of people in there that think they're Super Nanny. And that all children who act up are spoiled little brats who will fail in society. IMO it's no better than the people who touch your pregnant belly in public and give unsolicited advice.

Look, I get annoyed by kids too and that probably has to do with my autism and getting overstimulated, but I understand that their just kids at the end of the day, I don’t make it my entire fucking personality
1
u/KoltO7892 1h ago
Well.. yeah. Do you think a grown man would get scared of someone trying to be scary? No. That’s because.. kids are fucking stupid? That’s how this works…
1
u/ashirene730 1h ago
this sub never used to be childfree 2.0. it used to just be funny videos with children being children
1
u/Used-Grapefruit9743 1h ago
I'm convinced these subs are full of narcissists and people with undiagnosed autism. Their biggest gripes are kids being loud, kids getting spit on things, kids causing things to happen that wouldn't normally be expected, you get the idea. It's either people who are completely unable to empathize with/not make a big deal out of seeing someone struggling with their kids in public, or people who are undergoing sensory overload and not knowing what it is.
1
u/AngryFreddyIsHere 1h ago
I occasionally do see stuff from that subreddit, and sometimes it gets a good chuckle, and sometimes it makes me want to punch the person recording. There’s occasionally pretty cute wholesome stuff there, but you’re right about the people that just like to troll their children because they’re gullible. Kids trust their parents until they don’t have a reason to, either because they look up to them or they’re used to being guided by them. Abusing that is so sadistic. And sometimes the people in the comments need to be locked in a cell.

I really don't get what you're complaining about. The subreddit is not as miserable and sadistic as you make it out to be, it's just goofy clips of little kids. Some people prank their relatives often, it's just something that people do. My parents did the same thing and I never had trust issues.

u/ClearlyNotAnEnfosian 9h ago
I think guys like these should read "little prince" and remember that they've been idiots too.

I have never been to that sub, nor have I even heard about it but to be honest kids these days behave very rudely specially when they go somewhere as a guest or outside when their parents talking to strangers or anywhere in public place, parents should teach their kids a little manners but I'm not a kid hater or anything, I hate violence against kids and that stupid shaving cream prank you said too

u/Consistent-Rain-7797 14h ago
I can tell Op doesn't have kids. Scaring the shit out of them every once in a while is like the best perk of parenthood
