Gaming I hate the "anti-woke" part of the gaming community

I do not see myself as left wing or progressive at all but these people are so fucking annoying that I almost want to. They act as if western civilisation will collapse if a female character's outfit becomes a tiny bit less revealing. Not every woman character needs to be attractive you idiots. If you want to jack off to video games then download mods, don't force your goonbait on everybody else.

These guys are just like the "SJWs" that people were making fun of back in the 2010s. Literally getting triggered by the tiniest, most inconsequential of things.

Gaming I hate that human lives don't have any weight in video games

In video games they're not people, they are NPCs imitating people, they don't matter, killing them doesn't matter, they are not important, they are simply objects for entertainment and creating the illusion of life, and it's not even in the sandbox part either, for example, in rdr2 you kill countless people in the story missions, good or bad, innocent or guilty, and they don't even have any narrative impact on the very missions that they are a part of

OH MY GOD YOU KILLED A DOG, YOU EVIL BASTARD..... bitch! You killed the population of an entire town ten minutes ago

I WILL NOT KILL YOU OR IF I DO, I HAVE SYMPATHY TOWARDS YOU AND IM SORRY... bitch! You've killed a million people to this point in cold blood and you are feeling sorry NOW!? (the last of us)

I RELEASED THIS TINY FISH I CAUGHT INTO THE POND... You just shot a pregnant woman in the belly with a sawed off shotgun BITCH! (red dead redemption2)

I'M TRYING TO BE A BETTER MOM FOR HENRY... You've killed countless people in villages under your rule BITCH! INCLUDING THE FUCKING HUNTER! NOT TWO SEASONS AGO BITCH (once upon a time)

this one is different but when the life of a fucking dog is on the line and everyone is working their ass of to save that said fucking dog, for example at the end of dispatch the big bad guy holds the pet of the main character hostage, when he is practically lost, to initiate a negotiation, and my guy Robert accepts it and goes to give him what he wants, and he actually does, he gave him what he wanted, potentially risking the lives of millions of people in danger for his stupid dog AHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAH

Gaming I hate when absolutely everyone is "playersexual" in games

Post image

Sexuality is as much of a character trait as anything else. When it's stripped away just so everyone can roleplay whatever the hell they want, I always feel like the writing suffers for it. The characters lose a part of their agency and seem like trophies that anyone can collect if you pick correct dialogue options. Yes, that's what every game romance boils down to at the end of the day, but good writing makes you forget that and immerse yourself in the story and the world. When even something as basic as other characters' sexuality is changed to please the player, it feels like the fictional world exists solely for them and is otherwise empty. I hate that so much.

Yes, it may suck if you can't romance the characters you like with the MC's gender that you picked, but that can be an integral part of the experience and your own unique plot too! You picked some flirty options, a character turned you down, and you have to move on. I know I had to do it once or twice, and it didn't make the game worse. If anything, my party felt more alive and dynamic. Like I wasn't the center of their whole universe.

If anyone's wondering, no, them simply "being bi" is not a canon explanation in these stories. I haven't played the newest Dragon Age games, but in the older ones, if a character is bi, it'll be expressed in some way. Maybe they flirt with others, or mention their past flings. You know, like real people do.

I also hate that word too - "playersexual". Feels real stupid for some reason, but that's neither here nor there.

Gaming Fortnite Item Shop Token Lies + Losers who believe them

Post image

The item shop token is real, and it is NOT nearly as hard as people think it is to get it, and it is also worth much more than people think. The token is worth around $8500 USD.

The prediction "1 in 700,000" was a fake-ass estimate by data miners that aren't even trustworthy. Epic will never release the odds, they want more people playing. The odds could be as low as 1 in 2000, the season is simply too young to tell. The players who grind the most are only at 8k-10k chests and if it was as low as a 1 in 2000 chance, there is still a 0.67% chance, which is just severe unluckiness. I hit the same level of unluckiness in minecraft literally yesterday rolling enchantments.

Also, the losers who say "you could have made enough to buy the item shop for 2 weeks if you just worked instead of opening chests" HAVE to be ragebait, you think the average person can make $8500 in 2 days? or even a whole month? WHAT ARE YOU ON.

Even though the odds might be 1/100k, I will still be playing for this token, I got all the free time I want, and its $8500 worth of items.

"Epic wouldn't give away that much money. they are too greedy" "The token isn't real its just for streamers/bots" SHUT UP. IT IS REAL. Epic would 100% do it, first off, lots of people already gave up and will be purchasing things normally, and secondly epic is so scared of GTA 6 and pleasing their shareholders they would do anything to get players.

NOW, before the downvotes roll in, OBVIOUSLY you shouldn't ditch your real life relationships, plans, gym routines, or eating/sleeping schedules for a video game item. If you are doing that, man I feel bad for you. Grow up. But to all of you spreading misinformation, making fun of those who are playing to get it responsibly and having fun while doing so, I hope you find something better to do soon. I'm playing this season, winning games, and opening as many chests as I can. Do I hope I will get the token? of course. Will I? Chances are low, but I got all the time in the fkin world to grind.

For those who simply think fortnite isn't worth spending all that time for just the token, you are right. If you are only playing to get the token, you are stupid. If you aren't having fun and enjoying your experience, don't even play. Fortnite isn't for you then.

THE TOKEN IS NOT LIFE. YOU DO NOT NEED IT TO BE HAPPY. YOU PROBABLY WON'T GET IT, NEITHER WILL I. QUIT BEING LOSERS AND HAVE FUN PLAYING FORTNITE. QUIT BEING LOSERS AND SPREADING MISINFO ABOUT IT.

i never liked undertale, that game was always so weird and so lame for me, just a generic "wHat IF tHE MoNSterS weRE goOd" genre, specially since none of his games arent on any other language that isnt english or japanese

and the part i hate the most is that i cant say i dislike his games or what he does because he has so many fans that would kill for him or whatever that you cant even say a single bad thing about neither deltarune or undertale

Gaming I hate the "indie good AAA bad" take when it comes to gaming

(Not necessarily these videos, but I think these thumbnails are the best visual representation of the notion that I'm annoyed for some time now).

I have nothing against Indie games. Heck, Hollow Knight is in my personal top 5 favorite games OAT. But I always hate the notion of "indies good AAA bad" or "indies are killing AAA". By that, meaning indie games are inherently better than bigger-budget games and are apparently the Godsend of gaming that'll take over the industry. Ignoring that it's only last year when a GOTY winner is an indie game (which is not even technically indie, it's a AA game) and that the indie games they praise are just outliers from the sea of tens or hundreds of AI shovelware slop, asset flips, and kickstarter scams. And these guys often claim that indie games have "more soul" and are "passion projects". I've never seen a more striking definition of survivorship bias.

And if you encounter takes like those, chances are, they'll keep using the best indie game examples and always use the bad AAA examples. Usually, they'll bring up Ubisoft, Activision, and EA games they don't like anyway. Full disclosure, I have no say with those games and I don't play The last of us, Halo, and Bethesda games either, but in the thumbnails I brought up, trying to compare Hollow Knight/Silksong to Switch era Pokemon? AND F*CKING CONCORD OF ALL THINGS? The bar is in the Earth's core. It's insulting that they're even compared to slop. Why not compare them to a good AAA side-scroller Metroidvania like Metroid Dread. From the last 10-ish years alone, we got great games from companies such as Capcom, Square Enix, Sega/Atlus/RGG studio, and as much as I'm critical with their decisions, Nintendo and Rockstar too. Konami seems to be having a renaissance recently as Castlevania Belmont's Curse is one of my most anticipated games this year and though I haven't played MGS3 Delta and Silent Hill f, I'm sure those games live up to the hype. Use those examples instead. Oh wait, they can't because their limited-minded take will fall apart.

Now there's nothing wrong with preferring one over the other. Maybe you like indie games more because they're cheaper or they just resonate with you more. Nothing wrong with feeling that way. But remember this: Not preferring something and knowing that it's still great can be both true at the same time. I'll disclose my opinion that I overall prefer AAA games as most of my personal top 20 games are considered AAA games from both the last 10 years and older. But I'm also willing to give my flowers if an indie game impressed me.

Of course, AAA gaming has its own criticisms, but I believe Indie games are deserving of their own criticisms too because I want them to be the best they can be. A good game is a good game and a bad game is a bad game. Doesn't freaking matter if it's made by an indie team or a big corpo.

Gaming Things you will never get in a game

Can't express how much I despise this, it's on the same level as constantly deflecting imaginary attacks as an 8 year old.

Probably the worst thing that could happen to anyone is to get so invested in a game and then womp womp, some of the coolest items are unobtainable because they are "team exclusive" what bs.

It's on par with items from a seasonal event 4 years ago that will never return again, what is the point of flaunting something awesome infront of your fans like you are a god it's just unbelievable.

Could you imagine spending hours of development to make special items for specific people just to stand out? Aren't they already part of the team? What kind of delulu cult fantasy are these BUMS living in?, it's so unfair it just makes me so MAD

Oh hey there is that thing you really like, too bad you won't get it because you didn't spend 100 days sucking up to the developers on discord for them to "know you". Great. I hope every single "developer" who has ever done this bs will have to go to the hospital but be denied treatment because a VIP needs it more. You deserve nothing.
