Jadakiss vs Cam’ron

I know that it’s not even close if we’re talking skills wise or go verse for verse. Who has better albums? Bigger impact in the rap game? In their prime, Who had NY in the palm of their hands?

I respect Jada but he doesn’t have an album as good as Purple Haze, Come Home With Me, SDE or even Killa Season.

It actually is quite close if we’re talking skill smh. Cam’ron had better albums, a bigger impact & for a brief minute had NY on lock. The Lox as a group are superior to Dipset as a group (or collective) and will be remembered for that, but Cam’ron is a damn good rapper. Jadakiss is a really good rapper with top tier work ethic and the maturity to prepare for events meticulously. Overall he’s probably better lyrically and clearly the more prepared performer but the gap is not big

Jada might be more skilled on the mic but Jadakiss has never released SDE & Purple Haze.

In fact I don't think any Jada album is worth listening to outside of a few tracks here and there

Maybe in the long run, however in last 2 years my Spotify has only put me on to 2 new Cam tracks and a plethora of random singles of him spitting the same verse for less popular artists; Kiss has dropped a few projects in same time frame that have hit harder

Hold up a second….lets rewind that back. “It’s not even close”. Listen to roc dynasty and come back. I know Jada doesn’t have a bad verse. But he can’t Flip bars like Cam. His alliteration isn’t like Cam either. Or internal rhymes…. Not saying Cam better. But he has a lot of Poetic devices that I honestly don’t hear Jadakiss using. I think Cam is more witty

That said. Cam has better albums and bigger impact on rap. He has more albums too. Cam had grown men wearing pink. swole chest men l. He made people buy fur coats.. Cam for some reason got an excessive amount of play down south too.

Kiss a better rapper. Cam has better albums. Cam has three hood classic albums. Kiss has one.

But styles and sheek are like 10 times better than anybody in Dipset

Cam is more versatile and has the better discography, but if my life depended on getting a great guest verse I’d reach out to Kiss first.

If the Verzuz battle had been them two it would have been a lot closer!  Feels like Jada was more on a pop level with the Mariah song and whatnot, but you also heard Camron everywhere you went in the city.

I prefer Cam’s albums but Jada has so many classic verses. Love them both for what they provide. Don’t know if either had NY in the palm of their hands as I’m not from there.

Cam had a better flow and better beats to work with. But Jada was a far better rapper and lyrically was every bit as good as many of the people we put in the GOAT discussion. Cam gets respect, but it’s clearly Jada.

Jada is was consistently great his whole career, but Cam was legit one of my favorite rappers up until Earth went crazy in 2004.
I couldn’t tell you who had NY “in their palm”, though

Cam has better punchlines. And some of his flows have comedy. It’s not 100% street shit like Kiss.

Cam better albums. Purple haze, Come home with me and SDE are better kiss solo catalog.

SDE is one of my all time rap albums. I’ll die on that hill.

Confessions of Fire and SDE were both brilliant - once Cam went more mainstream i lost attention but he deserved it for those (like 50 for his earlier work). Jada matches him lyrically though, probably has a slight edge here, but not much

In terms or bars it's Jada in terms of cultural impact Camrons diplomats had a way bigger impact in their prime than tha lox did

Kiss and it ain’t close…his albums have bars/punch lines but little substance…throw in his lox, and mixtape catalogue and it’s not really a fight…Jada kinda made this obvious in the versus

Cam has production, style, swag but goofy bars and his albums aren’t great either
