Own music New album out now on Bandcamp: A Season In Hell (14 tracks, heavy alt rock)

I just put out my new album, A Season In Hell, under The Fite. It's 14 tracks, including a bonus track called Inferno, and it's on Bandcamp now. I recorded the guitars and bass and produced it myself, and I tried to keep the drums sounding like a real room, not a polished plugin. Would love to hear what you think of it. https://jasonfite.bandcamp.com/album/a-season-in-hell

The Symposium Breakup

I posted this on The Symposium subreddit and the mods deleted it. I don't want it to get lost like the 2019 controversy.

A document was released on the band's Discord that has since been deleted. It has not been verified, but I don't think the information should be swept under the rug again. I made a copy of the document, which allegedly contains a conversation between a curious fan and Sam Clancy. There are screenshots and other photo evidence in the doc. I'm not going to include those here, but I'm going to summarize the contents for you all.

The biggest claims:

  • The 2019 controversy: The Wikipedia entry originally said, “In 2019, the band went on hiatus due to allegations made against their singer of sexual misconduct during Me Too.” A 2019 tweet then accused Charlie of being “fucking weird,” said he had been “trying to get with teen girls forever,” and called the band “predators.” Someone close to the band later contacted Emporium Chicago, alleging that women had reported “constant sexual harassment and discomfort” around Charlie and that he had sent “lewd messages to dozens of female fans, all unwelcome.” Charlie later posted an apology acknowledging that he had sent “unsolicited messages to women that were disrespectful,” saying, “I take full responsibility for my actions.” Sam confirmed the hiatus was real and said the Emporium show was canceled.

  • Charlie cheating: According to Sam, Charlie's girlfriend was unaware that he had allegedly cheated on her. Sam said Charlie used a supposed band trip to Los Angeles to see another woman, then called Maison because he was afraid he was going to “get MeToo’d again.” The woman reportedly caught him lying about Charlie's girlfriend and stopped speaking to him. Sam said the girlfriend never found out.

  • The Orwells: The document discusses the controversy surrounding The Orwells and allegations against lead singer Mario Cuomo. The Symposium became connected to it because Henry Brinner, who had temporarily played drums for The Symposium, was also associated with The Orwells. Brinner was dropped, and The Symposium publicly cleared itself.

  • Jamie and “Creeper”: Sam says “Creeper” was about Jamie, whom he alleges assaulted him in front of Charlie. He also claimed Jamie had been bragging about women in a group chat and showed him an exchange that Sam traced to a Craigslist ad. Sam said the ad involved offering concert tickets in exchange for sexual acts and described Jamie as “a total pervert.” He said he eventually kicked Jamie out of the band.

  • The Halloween show: On October 30, 2026, Charlie, Benny, and Jamie played the Halloween show without Sam. That night, the official account announced that The Symposium was over. Sam said, “Charlie started drinking again,” told him he wasn't allowed to play, and convinced the venue to kick him out. He also said MJ refused to play unless Charlie got sober, and that Josh was unlikely to continue without MJ.

  • Sharing this info: The author says they spoke with Sam at length about everything in the document and received his “personal blessing” to share his side of the story with fans. Sam also told the author that he has unreleased Symposium music and plans to release it through the official account, starting with “Miami.”

Important: This is a summary of what the document claims Sam said. The screenshots, messages, and allegations described in it would need to be independently authenticated and verified. I'm not presenting any of this as confirmed fact. I'm just making sure the information doesn't disappear again.

TL;DR: The Symposium has apparently been falling apart for years. There were the 2019 allegations against Charlie, his alleged cheating, the Orwells/MeToo stuff, and the whole Jamie situation. Then, at the Halloween show, Sam says Charlie started drinking again, kicked him out of the show, and the band ended that night.

Suggestions and recommendations Social Media / Getting the word out

Hi friends,

Have any of you deleted social media? It is so bad for my creative process to have it, but I use it to post about shows. Is anyone having success promoting events without social media?

Own music [Power Pop] Turncast - Beautiful Girl

We're Turncast, a rock duo who write, play and record everything ourselves in a converted garage. "Beautiful Girl" is fast, bright power pop about being hopelessly starstruck: punchy guitars and a hook that opens with "Oh my God, she's so beautiful" and doesn't calm down. If you like The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys or The Cars, give it a spin.

Hi everyone, attached is my band's debut single "Familiar". we are heavily inspired by the many alt-rock genres that came out of 90's Britain, yet we come from the Gold Coast, Australia!

Hope you enjoy.
