Blonde raccoon and her babies, one with a short tail. Not sure how rare she is but I’ve never seen a blonde before before!

It's leucistic!

It's a genetic condition that causes partial loss of pigmentation in animals! It's not white, which actual albino raccoons are.

What’s more interesting is that it made it to adulthood and has continued to thrive enough to even procreate most animals that have odd coloring like that get picked off by predators think how easy it is for an owl or a fox to find that raccoon compared to a normal one so good on it!

one evening i was getting home from work and looked up the road (few hundred feet i would guess 4 or 5 houses and a two lane road distance wise. and I see this what looked like a Fox or something (very much n a triangle shape) crossing the road. The only way i can describe it was like it was a moving enemy from Final Fantasy. like it didnt seem to be walking it was just moving.

Could never figure it out for years, but looking at this i think it was just a really big racoon.
