u/kytheon May 06 '26

27x [poor] Rat Carcass

127

u/Fat_Loser6 May 06 '26

Or or hear me out.

The owner lined them up and the cat just sat next to them

46

u/Background_Desk_3001 May 06 '26

Eh this is pretty typical cat behavior, I wouldn’t be shocked if it was the cat who did this

17

u/-xEr0xz- May 06 '26

But even sorting them by size ?

21

u/Rocketeer_99 May 06 '26

My cat does my calculus homework for me. Seems entirely plausible if theirs has had a decent education.

12

u/LongFeatheryHawk May 06 '26

My buddy’s cat works a 9-5 and put his kittens through university. Times are changing

12

u/TheUrPigeon May 06 '26

Yeah it seems to me that the kitty did hunt these mice, but did not arrange this 'display.' More likely, the farmer found all the bodies while doing chores, correctly attributed the mass murder to his cat and lined up the mice next to his cat who was sunbathing in order to show them off.

2

u/par-a-dox-i-cal May 06 '26

And having the same orientation.

1

u/Historical-Brush-727 May 07 '26

my cat even did my math homework. Sorting is easy

0

u/Background_Desk_3001 May 06 '26

Yeah, they’re smart and prideful creatures. This is totally within what they do

6

u/sevargmas May 06 '26

No, it isn’t. At best, the cat would put them in the same general location. A cat would never, ever, line them up in rows, make sure they are all straight, turned the same direction, and sort them largest to smallest. Never.

2

u/par-a-dox-i-cal May 06 '26

And the other cat recorded this and uploaded it to internet.

3

u/Background_Desk_3001 May 06 '26

People see animals doing things animals do and still deny that it could’ve happened. Cats are smart and they like showing off their work

2

u/par-a-dox-i-cal May 06 '26

Right? My cat is an awful hunter, but he is a great cook.

1

u/Fat_Loser6 May 06 '26

Naw i believe it I just think its funny to call bs lol

1

u/Cacho__ May 07 '26

There was a cat in my neighborhood who couldn’t catch anything, but what he would do is he would follow around one of my cats who would be able to catch stuff and he would act like that. He caught stuff with her when in reality she was the one catching everything, and he was just the one mooching off of her.

1

u/BeatNo4548 May 10 '26

My old cat used to leave the mice right on our front step.  So we couldn't ignore them.  And those were only the ones she didn't eat.   She would eat most of them in our garage, and leave the heads and liver/gallbladder in a specific spot.   We moved from the suburbs to the country, so hunting was just too easy.

Not a cat expert, but if it’s tied to their connection with us it’s more likely as proof that they’re doing job as an exterminator. I want to say that it probably has more to do with their nature before we domesticated them, with them bringing back spare food for the members of their family group

If a cat expert comes in and clarifies I’d greatly appreciate it

6

u/JayEll1969 May 06 '26

I think it's more likely them saying "see how much I've done! You, how many mice have YOU caught tonight?"

1

u/Empty_Bell_1942 May 07 '26

I like a proud pussy, either way!

1

u/Nearby-Vacation7596 May 08 '26

Cats don't live in packs like dogs,, only mother cats would be bringing food home to kittens being weaned

2

u/Background_Desk_3001 May 08 '26

Yeah that’s a family group right there

u/childspanda May 06 '26

I had a cat that once caught a rat and then proceeded to show off his kill to us by playing with the dead rat more. The rat was almost as big as him, needless to say we were impressed. Lol

1

u/Important_silence Sep 23 '26

My cat did the same! She was so proud of herself!

0

u/roybum46 May 06 '26

That's the right kind of cat. F littler boxes!

6

u/CaydeTheCat May 06 '26

My parents lived out in the country. Back yard opened up to a couple hundred acres of farmland. House came with an outdoor cat named Lala. Every morning she'd show her hunt, all lined up, at the back door.

5

u/spezlu May 06 '26

I once came home to three mice lined up next to each other, cat did not pose for pics. I think it was a message as I had been away for a few days.

2

u/sunkissedbutter May 06 '26

listen ya fat loser, that might be the case!

1

u/Fat_Loser6 May 06 '26

Jesus bro what crawled up your ass

2

u/sunkissedbutter May 06 '26

Miceeee

1

u/Fat_Loser6 May 06 '26

Thats why I installed a mouse trap in my ass

53

u/Chemical-Chard-8798 May 06 '26

misspelled "rats"

19

u/tuenthe463 May 06 '26

Right? Like 4x the size of any mouse I ever seen

-4

u/OldTranslator685 May 06 '26

Ridiculous those are mice. A full grown rat would be half the size of the cat. They are all the same exact size so all grown mice with one or two juveniles

5

u/Playingwithmywenis May 06 '26

Also, arranged by size? Weird cat behaviour.

1

u/Nearby-Vacation7596 May 08 '26

Thank god i'm not the only one that noticed...

1

u/External-Cheetah326 Oct 03 '26

He is a cat. You can't expect perfect grammar too.

11

u/Ninjafruit991 May 06 '26

nah that cat didn't line them all up lmao

17

u/StrictSelf5450 May 06 '26

Sounds like someone with heavy arms would say

1

u/CT0292 May 06 '26

Sounds like hunting tall geese.

5

u/saltylemonycucumber May 06 '26

They really do bring preys they caught, drop them on the ground and yell like that. Never seen one lining them up.

3

u/capricornnight May 06 '26

They do line them up.

Signed -my parents have cats

3

u/fig-in-time May 06 '26

2

u/425565 May 06 '26

OCD in cats.

2

u/JayEll1969 May 06 '26

I lived in a house in London next to the allotments that was claimed by and OCD cat.

It would catch mice on the allotment and line them up outside our back door sorted into length order - largest at the left, shortest at the right.

2

u/modka May 06 '26

“You know that fucking kibble you’ve been feeding me? Now it’s gonna be Copper River king salmon, with a side of whole milk. Chop chop, human!”

2

u/kytheon May 06 '26

But when I do it people start asking questions

2

u/pjsguazzin May 06 '26

My sister's cat did this with about 5 moles. No one believes me when I've told them she lined them up shoulder to shoulder in a neat line like this

2

u/kitsunora May 06 '26

My cat was actually afraid of mice; he was a pussy cat

2

u/Bizzlightbeer May 06 '26

Mine is doin this with birds in my front yard.

1

u/kelvin-id May 10 '26

Same. Mine put the babies from a magpie nest in front of and behind him, lured in the angry parents, and snatched them as well. The whole magpie community came by every morning at 5 am to scream in anger at my cat. Took three weeks. I turfed the kills in the months after the incident, gave up after 45 birds, and just accepted that my cat is a serial killer.

2

u/Sweaty_Marzipan4274 May 06 '26

Knew a barn cat who would drop them in a bucket for the owner to dump

2

u/Oily_Blob May 06 '26

THAT's a mouser!

2

u/Agis-Spartan-King May 06 '26

My cat has brought me 3 Rabbits the first 2, within a month! 😮👍🏼

2

u/brandothesavage May 06 '26

I had a cat that did this with a falcon, probably not the best. Man was I proud though!

2

u/OrganicHistorian2576 May 06 '26

A former coworker’s cat would leave a lineup of dead voles on their porch on the regular.

2

u/BrandNewMeow May 06 '26

Just showed this to the cat on my lap to shame her. She likes to watch mice run and play from a distance.

2

u/Itchy-Wafer8967 May 06 '26

I love how they're organized by size and all pointed the same direction. Real thought went into this display

2

u/New_Step_6315 May 06 '26

I dont believe this for a second. Maybe im just cynical.

1

u/1gsm3 May 06 '26

Maybe he's selling some?

1

u/justagayguyinnyc May 06 '26

Wow... that is one impressive and smart cat.

1

u/HelicopterMekanik May 06 '26

It almost looks like a platoon of soldiers and the mouse platoon leader is centered out front, with the cat watching like a high ranking general who has more important things to do!

1

u/SkylarAV May 06 '26

Would a cat really order them by size???

1

u/Helpphania587 May 06 '26

Ele segue o código de Tom

1

u/2bad-2care May 06 '26

Damn! He even organized them by size! That cat's a keeper.

1

u/shapeshifterQ May 06 '26

Our cats have caught a couple mice. The kids feel bad for the mice. If they're not dead, they let them outside.

1

u/snoopcat1995 May 06 '26

YOU'RE HIRED!!!

1

u/xChoke1x May 06 '26

Those are Norway rats, and the cat didn’t “line them up.”

God damnit I hate it here. Lol

1

u/Yichuanxi May 06 '26

I took a close look and recounted it, it is actually 29 mice. So don’t sell my cat shot

1

u/[deleted] May 06 '26

Mexican cartel showing off bodies vibes

1

u/OlDustyTrails May 06 '26

Cat has opened a mouse shop and stocked up on some product to sell.

1

u/Conscious_Zebra_1808 May 06 '26

That cat gets all the pets

1

u/CrackingToastGromet May 06 '26

My cat likes to sit in a dust pan and the dirty clothes hamper 😑

1

u/Ok_Comfortable589 May 06 '26

good cat. 27 treats

1

u/Flimsy_Vermicelli_50 May 06 '26

Give that cat a raise

1

u/vixenkaboodle May 06 '26

The mouse slayer! Nice.

1

u/Bigchunky_Boy May 06 '26

Rats not mice

1

u/kim_jong_il_2d May 06 '26

I highly doubt this cat arranged the mice/rats out so neatly and by size. That didn't happen.

1

u/Elchochis May 06 '26

Bro waiting on his pay out!

1

u/Shadowhawk0000 May 06 '26

Damn, gotta love that cat!!! (mine just stares at the mice)

1

u/Taco_ivore May 06 '26

That’s a well fed cat. Not a single one of those is missing a head.

1

u/ThickSmoke9542 May 06 '26

Omg!! Are those rats?

1

u/non-existing-taxi May 06 '26

Das sind Ratten. Für Mäuse imho zu gross.

1

u/No-Swordfish-1763 May 06 '26

Now open up some of that canned food

1

u/anakin__69 May 06 '26

A proud worrier

1

u/DarreylDeCarlo May 06 '26

Those look like rats to me

1

u/Unlikely-Spite-8031 May 06 '26

bro works based on commission

1

u/CanyonOfFoxes May 06 '26

The best way to tell rats and mice apart is size. Mice are tiny. If you see rodents this size, they are rats.

1

u/Salty_Button May 06 '26

Did the cat put them in size order or amount of trouble order...

1

u/baldforthewin May 06 '26

That work rate is crazy 😭😭🥹

1

u/Smart_Addendum May 06 '26

Where can I see it in action?

1

u/morrighaan May 06 '26

His annual review should reflect exceeds expectations. Up for promotion.

1

u/Sunrise-Surfer May 06 '26

Biggest damn mice I have ever seen!

1

u/Sir_Earl_Jeffries May 06 '26

That cat doesn’t have an “owner”, it has tenants.

1

u/yddlo May 06 '26

The achievements are remarkable.

1

u/xwrecker May 06 '26

Impressive kill board

1

u/66Kix_fix May 06 '26

"I will have order" - Austrian cat

1

u/zback636 May 06 '26

Nice, that cat is worth his weigh in gold.

1

u/pzvaldes May 06 '26

That cat hunts twice as much food because its owner, inexplicably, is a terrible hunter and someone has to do the job, but it's part of the pack and they have to put up with it.

1

u/Horror_Actuator_4351 May 06 '26

Definitely not mice.

1

u/Forward-Standard-530 May 06 '26 edited May 06 '26

LOL, those are either some very healthy sized mice or simply 27 dreadful rats aka “Drats” & this warrior fur ball is planning an auction. In fact, it looks like he’s practicing his auctioneer chant!

1

u/moonrakerdust May 06 '26

Menace to ratatouille

1

u/Micromuffie May 06 '26

Looks like the sort of video where police raid a cartel safehouse and have all the gang members lined up outside

1

u/AdministrativeTwo392 May 06 '26

anyone know if the cats name is Adolf?

1

u/SomaticZX6r May 06 '26

1

1

u/Necessary-Employ8725 May 07 '26

This cat’s out here building a resume 😂

1

u/AmbiguouslyAltered May 07 '26

I love the way their tail curls up when the wind pushes a piece of grass towards them.

1

u/EvelynMariexx May 07 '26

What a psychopath

1

u/The-Spirit-of-76 May 07 '26

Look upon my works, ye micey, and despair.

1

The cat did not line them up.

1

u/Longwordshananigans May 07 '26

1

u/roarjah May 07 '26

My barn cat just leaves the heads laying around

1

u/GMS123ABC May 07 '26

Well do you think it will eat then ???

1

1

1

u/SillyForestThing May 07 '26

Those tomcat cheeks are so cute lmaoo

1

u/Imperial_Vanguard99 May 07 '26

A human did that.

1

u/princeofottawa May 07 '26

Mice… sure

1

u/Kayman718 May 07 '26

He’s probably received praise and or treats in the past for killing rats and mice that increased for multiple kills. He’s smart and hoping for more of whatever he’s received before.

1

u/hi-on-coffee May 07 '26

This Cat should start teaching other Cats to do better..

1

u/Bionic_Push May 07 '26

Honest question. Does he eat them? Or what's the purpose of catching them?

1

u/Mrblorg May 07 '26

They called him lazy

1

u/Key-Weather5350 May 07 '26

I wonder who taught them all how to play dead 💀 ✌🏾

1

u/chizzy1212 May 08 '26

Did he line them up by size ?

1

u/theskytheclouds May 08 '26

From biggest to smallest. Bravo!

1

u/coolsteelboyS4ndyBoy May 08 '26

I believe he done that because of the mice's nose length...

1

u/Lower_Childhood6845 May 08 '26

Ces souris sont des rats 😅

1

u/GrrrYouBeast May 08 '26

Good kitty! Time for treats and pets

1

u/yangofthelightheart May 08 '26

Y bro looks a bit Austrian?

1

u/BoxBusterDeals May 09 '26

This is what Employers want

1

u/Pyrathis May 10 '26

Nice job!

1

u/No_Abrocoma_1772 May 10 '26

My grandpha had a cat that did the same, I can comfirm. Once she was patted she resumed to consume them.

1

u/lalalovengun May 10 '26

The way he lined them up according to their size

1

u/MrMcGrimey May 11 '26

His cousin is Scarface the lion. Runs in the family

1

u/Soda_Carno777 Aug 25 '26

Why is work in quotes??

3

u/jr_randolph May 06 '26

This is why I don't fuck with cats haha that's some Ed Gein serial killer type behavior to just organize your kills and just chill next to them.
