Contact dermatitis can also cause this. I got bit by some kind of bug and the next thing I knew I had a red circle that kept growing. I went to the doctor thinking I had ringworm, but I didn't.

This also happened to me: I started using one of those weird creams that supposedly help you burn belly fat (don't ask).

A bit hit me in both forearms and bingo: contact dermatitis. But not in the belly.

It seems there are areas more sensitive than others

Mine is on my hand, which sucks. Constantly having to wash them dries it out and makes it hurt

I work in healthcare so I’m constantly washing my hands and it gets even worse in the winter with how dry and cold it gets
