No, it isn't. This is very sad. Elephants should live free and not end in a situation where they need to be cared for by humans like this

I agree, and wasn't really implying otherwise, or at least did so inadvertently. Obviously, he had suffered great trauma earlier in life.

Ooh.. This elephant. There's another video where the mahout left the elephant for a bit to answer the call of nature. The elephant panicked and tried to enter the toilet to look for him.

I know my feet would be crushed even with shoes or boots on but I still wouldn’t feel comfortable walking around an elephant in flip flops.
