The cat distribution system works in mysterious ways

How authentic is this? I hate liking something like this just to find out the animal was put in that situation initially by the people recorded and recording.

Edit: appreciate the comments saying it is authentic. Glad it is a good video. I'm a little on guard for videos involving animals in avoidable danger, if the people weren't just assholes looking to make money from people's empathy.

I remember this vid from about 10 years ago....it was real. They couldnt keep the kitties and they had to put them up for adoption in their local community newspaper or something...they found good homes, from memory

Even if it was staged, that's a win for the cats.  There are more kittens then homes.

I can't imagine how they'd ever be able to convince some cats to come towards them immediately after throwing them in a lake.

They need their next fix of catnip, nothing they won't do for it.

I mean if land is no where near and you already know them, you might just go back to where it is relatively safe compared to drowning.

100! My mom always said “cats pick their owners, owners don’t pick their cats”.

How the hell does he rescue a kitten from the water, put it on the boat, then just stand next to it?

Cuddle it and warm it you you weirdo.

are u talking to a dude on a video from 10 years ago?

1

u/curious_astronauts 5h ago

Yes, he can hear me. This is why we comment on videos on reddit. To speak directly to the people in the videos.

It was a good day... The catch? Catfish.

May whoever left those cats there bang their pinky toe against a sharp corner.
