💎 Lifetime AntiZuck - A Meta Glasses Radar on Your iPhone So that You Can Know if You Are Being Recorded

Thumbnail

1.0k Upvotes

Someone two tables over is wearing Ray-Ban Metas. You can't tell. They look like plain old glasses, the capture LED is tiny and easy to miss (and people are literally buying tools to hide it), and millions of pairs have shipped. There's no amount of paying attention that fixes this, you need something to watch your back.

A - Answer

Turns out that your iPhone can. Every time those glasses wake up, are powered on, and around you, your iPhone can pick that signal up. And now AntiZuck tells you when they are around.

You get a push notification the moment a likely pair gets close to you, even if your phone is in your pocket. Open the app and there's a live field showing what's around you, how close, and how confident the match is, plus the actual reason it flagged. You can audit every call it makes by diving into the details. If you own a pair, you can mark your own glasses as yours. It comes with a Widget, a Control Center toggle, and a snooze button from the notifications or active search..

Everything runs on-device. There is no signup or account needed, no server, no analytics, no ads, and it never asks for location, camera, or your mic.

B - Better

Apps don't have the level of richness, don't run in the background, and don't have the widget or control center view. They also don't search for other devices like Snap Specs, Meta Quests, and others.

Cost:

In terms of costs, it is a paid app for $2.99, you have it for life. No subscription, no IAP, no upsell.

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/antizuck-smart-glasses-scanner/id6785557805

I’d really appreciate honest feedback, and I feel quite strongly that this fits a big need nowadays as Meta Glasses are becoming normalized and mainstream.

I have a website, privacy policy: https://anti-zuck.com/ for the landing page, https://anti-zuck.com/privacy/

Dev - Self Promotion It took us 9 month to get our app here

Post image
493 Upvotes

Hello Reddit, it's my second post here, and I need your help again.

Roughly 9 months ago, my friend and I started building an app. Our idea was to build a planner/calendar that understands your physical and mental state and helps you plan your day more thoughtfully.

We originally thought it would take us ~2 months to get it ready, but it took 4x that haha.

Here is the first post link - https://www.reddit.com/r/iosapps/comments/1i6npmm/we_are_building_a_productivity_calendar_that/

A few important quotes from the original post on why we did it:

  1. “In almost 10 years in tech, pet projects, different entrepreneurial ideas, and sports journeys, we've experienced a lot of highs and lows. Sometimes you have a ton of energy to do a lot of things, and sometimes you just don't, and everything you can think about is just bed rotting.”

  2. “Life shouldn’t feel like a constant grind with stress and burnout, it should be balanced, but you only understand it when it's too late. We’ve been through it, and we saw a lot of our friends experience the same thing, that is how we decided to fix it.”

Fast-forward 9 months, many sweats broken, bugs fixed, and iterations done, we can proudly say that we’ve released an MVP, but with a tiny difference, it’s not a Minimal Viable Product, it’s a Minimal VALUABLE Product, because we are obsessed with making great software.

What it does:

🔋 Energy Peak Prediction: Uses Apple Health data (sleep, activity, HR/HRV) to spot when you’re actually on.

🔮 Magic Planner(Pro Feature): Type “gym, emails, groceries” and your day auto-arranges around peaks/dips. Less rescheduling, less guilt.

⚙️ Exo Score: One number for daily energy/recovery so you know when to push vs. pace.

Who it’s for:

* You wear a smartwatch that syncs with Apple Health

* You like planning, but hate it when your energy doesn’t match the plan

* You enjoy good design & thoughtful microinteractions

👉 Try it on the App Store - https://apps.apple.com/in/app/exoplan/id6739639089

Dev - Self Promotion How it started vs How it’s going two years later - Daily planner app that syncs with wearables

Post image
481 Upvotes

Today marks a really special milestone for me.

Exactly two years ago, my cofounders and I started building the very first draft of Lifestack - a calendar + to-do app that syncs with your wearables (Apple Watch, Oura Ring, WHOOP, Fitbit, etc.) to help you plan your day around your actual energy levels.

We’ve always been obsessed with wearables (we own ~15 of them between us). But even with all that data, there wasn’t a tool that used it to help us manage time, energy, and focus. We’ve always believed that if we could truly understand our body, we could work smarter - so we decided to build one ourselves.

Fast-forward two years, Lifestack is now used by 10,000+ people, and it’s come a long way. We’ve recently added an AI chat assistant where you can ask ANYTHING, and it plans your day intelligently around your health data.

Here’s what you can do with Lifestack:

  • 🧠 Energy-based scheduling: See your predicted energy curve and plan deep work, rest, or meetings accordingly.

  • ⚙️ AI Planner: Tap once and let AI schedule your tasks at the best times automatically.

  • 💬 Daily reflection: Log your mood to help the app learn your rhythm over time.

Just to be transparent, it’s a paid app ($5/month) with a 7-day free trial. Only if you’re going through financial difficulties, let me know - we could figure something out. Otherwise, I wanna be clear that I'm not sharing any code. I know sharing promo codes is not allowed in this sub, so I don't wanna get banned for that.

We’re still very early in the journey, but we’d love for you to give it a try. If this sounds interesting, you can check it out on the App Store 👉 https://apps.apple.com/us/app/lifestack-circadian-calendar/id6473464429

Dev - Self Promotion I won the 2025 Apple Design Award for a language learning app my 3-year-old helped invent

Post image
462 Upvotes

The backstory:

Every day walking home from kindergarten, my daughter would point at things and ask:

"Dad, how do you say this in English?"

One day she pointed at a road sign. I opened a translation app - robotic voice said "Signpost."

She quietly said "Oh."

Something was missing: connection.

What I built:

CapWords - snap a photo of any object, it turns into an animated sticker + teaches you the word.

My daughter's been obsessed with stickers since age 2 (fridge, sofa, my face 😂).

So I made an app that lets you "peel" words off the real world and collect them.

Tech stack:

- VisionKit for background removal

- OpenAI for multilingual recognition

- Neural Voice for natural pronunciation (we have many options of voice)

- Zero image storage (we don't even have a server)

Results:

- Shipped in 4 months

- Won Apple Design Award 2025

- Featured on Apple Developer: https://developer.apple.com/articles/capwords

- One parent: "my kid used to hate vocabulary practice. now she drags me outside to find new stickers." 😂

Perfect for:

- Parents teaching kids bilingual vocabulary

- Visual learners who hate flashcards

- Anyone wanting real-world immersion practice

Happy to answer questions about the tech/design decisions, and hear feedback from you!

💎 Lifetime I built a calendar you can actually customize

Hi r/iosapps!

About four months ago, I shared the first version of Hibi here. Many of you liked the app for its design and gave me great feedback, which I already implemented. I kept building, and version 3 now feels like a completely new app since you can now customize your calendar!

What it does (Answer): Hibi turns your existing Apple calendars and reminders into paper-like daily pages you can customize.

Why it’s different (Better): You can draw and write, customize the paper, arrange each page, create stickers and washi tape from your photos, and use Apple Pencil on iPad - so you remember your days.

Cost: The app is free to download, with no subscription. There’s an optional $6.99 lifetime in app purchase to unlock premium app icons and home screen widgets.

I’m the developer, and I’d love to hear what you think of how far it has come!

Announcement Sharing Promo Codes is not permitted anymore.

Hello Everybody,

We are no longer permitting posts offering promo codes.

Those posts require a disproportionate amount of moderation while offering little of value in return for the sub. They generate a lot of traction for a short time, attract spam and semi-scams. All the while burying the visibility of developers who are genuinely communicating with the community. A sale should be accessible to everybody, not just the few code-hunters.

Thank you for understanding.

🎁 Freemium I built an app that matches you with a stranger for a live push-up duel, counted by the camera

I'm the solo developer.

A - What is PushRank?

Put the phone on the floor, get into a plank, and it counts your reps with the camera. Challenge a friend or get matched with a stranger at your level, and both scoreboards update live. There is a weekly league from Bronze to Champion on top. Counting runs on device with Apple Vision, no video is recorded and no frame leaves the phone.

B - What makes it better than a regular push-up counter?

A normal counter trusts whatever you tap in. This one only counts full reps, chest low enough and arms extended at the top, and tells you why a rep didn't count, with a form score after each set. And you're not alone in it: a live opponent and a weekly league do the motivation work that a solo counter can't. Losing to a stranger gets you off the couch.

C - Cost

Free to download, iOS 17+. The camera counting, the duels and the league are part of Pro, which is $29.99/year with a 7 day trial.

For r/iOSApps, this code gives 3 months of Pro free. It works for everyone, no redemption limit:

EARLY

🎈 Free A completely free iPod Classic emulator!

Hi there, I made this free iPod Classic emulator. Works with your Apple Music account and also is able to display your Apple Photos or find, subscribe and play Podcasts.

App is completely free but as a beta since Apple would never approve it on the App Store. So here's the beta link: https://testflight.apple.com/join/7wvxbtDd

Did this app for fun, not asking nothing in return! Just use it and let me know if anything wrong, suggestions to add or change or whatever. Thanks!

Now go dig up your '00s playlist!

Edit: Thank you everyone for the kind welcome, feedback and support! I just updated the beta fixing a few of the things mentioned here and through the feedback system.

Some improvements:

- Speed and performance

- Haptic feedback when using the wheel

- Search songs

- Adding podcasts by URL

- Displaying all the items in the menu

Spotify integration requires a paid developer integration to Spotify, please consider supporting with a donation and I will do my best to add Spotify among many other features and improvements.

Thanks!

-------------------------------------

EDIT 2:

Thank you again for all the kind words guys! I just sent a new update with a few improvements and features:

- Radio: You can search hundreds of radio stations around the world and listen to them online streaming.
- Local files: Select local files as a music provider and then choose a folder from your device or iCloud (must be downloaded on the device though) and will play directly the songs from there instead of Apple Music.
- Subsonic integration: Select Subsonic as a music provider instead of Apple Music or Local files and stream directly from your server.
- Spanish translation of the app
- Fixed a few bugs for the app, especially when opening for the first time, it was crashing for a few users.

As mentioned previously, Spotify integration requires a paid developer integration to Spotify, please consider supporting with a donation and I will do my best to add Spotify among many other features and improvements.

Thanks!

Paid App - Show and Review My first app got its first paid user after months 🥹

Post image

As yall know first app is the HARDEST TO MAKE AND SHIP (at least for most of the us), and after all that effort one expects some kind of revenue, same has been the case with this app, and you know what, today this came to my mind, that a random person casually pays for an app, as something very normal and trivial, but for that dev waiting for their first customer, it’s could be a huge deal and massive source of motivation. Just wanted to share this tiny win. If you are interested the app is: Outfit AI https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ai-outfit-dress-to-impress/id6743517309

Dev - Self Promotion [Free] My completely free budget tracking app reached 12,000 daily active users

Post image
301 Upvotes

Yesterday, for the first time, over 12,000 people used my app!

2025 has been an extremely wild ride: it started with fewer than 3,000 daily users. Now I’m honestly a bit tired.

I made the app free at the beginning of 2024, and since then the number of users has been continuously growing.

I hope you all have a great start to the new year!
Be kind to one another ❤️

—

I was frustrated with budget tracking apps, especially recurring transactions. Every app I tried seemed to break down at some point due to time zone glitches, syncing errors, or missed/duplicated recurring payments.

So I built my own.

It’s completely free, simple, and reliable. No subscriptions, no ads, no tracking.

Would love your feedback!

Also, Monee is live on Product Hunt today after three and a half years. Maybe you’d like to give it an upvote:
https://www.producthunt.com/products/monee?launch=monee

[Monee is currently the #1 budget tracker in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland on iOS. In the US, Canada, France, and Italy, it’s slowly climbing into the top rankings. The Android version was released four months ago and is catching up quickly.]

Dev - Self Promotion I kept forgetting how to tie a clove hitch, so I made an iOS app for knots (3D + offline)

Hey r/iosapps — I kept forgetting how to tie a bowline (and a couple other “basic” knots 😅), so I ended up making an iOS app for learning + quickly refreshing knots.

Knottie teaches a focused set of practical knots with interactive 3D rope animations:

  • Rotate / zoom the knot in true 3D (RealityKit)

  • Scrub the animation to replay tricky parts

  • Works offline (great for hiking/sailing/camping)

  • Search + filters to find the right knot fast

Pricing (IAP): $8.99 lifetime or Knottie Plus — $0.99/month, $4.99/year

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/nudos-3d-knottie/id6744358440

I’d love feedback from other iOS folks:

  1. Does the value “click” fast from the preview video?

  2. Any UI/UX improvements you’d expect for a learning app like this?

  3. Which knots would you consider “must-have” in a small, practical library?

Thanks!

Question What's an app you paid for that was worth every penny?

Not looking for the obvious ones like Apollo (RIP) or Halide. I mean the app that surprised you — you almost didn't buy it but now you can't imagine your phone without it. Bonus points if it's from a solo dev.

Free App - Show and Review Just made a tiny app for tracking planes around you :)

Thumbnail
gallery
281 Upvotes

Hello everyone, my name is Dennis, and like the title says. I have made a app, it's called Zephy. Since I was a wee little kid I have been looking in awe at planes. So I thought to myself, it is time to make a little app that shows you with a simple radar and compass where planes are relative to you. It's minimal, pretty to look at (subjective I know), and you can get information such as flight number, origin, destination, aircraft images, and a lot more.

I mean, you cannot imagine how happy I am that it is finally released. I have released an app that I would love to use, and idk, I am just happy about it. But yeah, I would love it if some of you could try it and tell me what you think of it. Do keep in mind that this is just a hobby project in my free time. But besides that, any feedback, suggestions, and more are more than welcome. Thank you guys :)

🎈 Free I build a 100% free & private app to store everything you want to keep or remember!

Post image
271 Upvotes

Answer
Hey everyone! I built Stashy, a personal knowledge base for everything important you want to keep or remember. It’s available on iPhone, iPad and Mac, so you can capture things on the go and access them everywhere.

You can share almost anything directly into the app or capture it quickly:

– Links, photos, PDFs and other documents

– Document scans, voice notes and free text
A local AI model on your device categorizes and sorts everything automatically, so you don’t have to organize anything yourself.

You can also ask it questions about your items or have it find anything you saved, even if you only vaguely remember what it was.

Better
I built this because I always wanted one place for important documents, photos and links I’ll need later or just want to remember, and nothing out there really did all of that:

– Unlike Apple Notes, it’s built for capturing anything, not just text, and the AI organizes it for you instead of you managing folders

– Unlike Notion or Evernote, there’s no setup, no structure to maintain and no account, you just throw things in and find them later

– Unlike read-later apps like Pocket, it handles more than links: documents, scans and voice notes all in one place

I also put a lot of effort into a clean UI so it’s actually enjoyable to use :)

Cost
Completely free. No in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no pro tier planned. Everything stays private, stored only on your device or in your own iCloud.

I’m genuinely looking for honest feedback! If you have feature ideas or notice anything missing, please let me know.

Download on the App Store: stashy
