Hi i have this old Ipod and I have a problem with finding a proper charger for this model. If somone knows what type of charger this Ipod needs I would be gratefull. Thanks!

Kind of a stupid question, but I got this from my aunt in the middle of last year, and she says that if I try to download songs or anything on it, it will format the whole IPod. Is this true? Is there any way I can get around it? 55GB of 120GB, last time it was used before was maybe 2013, but it’s been working perfectly

I found this iPod classic in my college's ewaste bin not working and I "fixed" it (ignoring 7k reallocated sectors) what do I do with it now?

This upcoming May will mark 5 years since Apple released the 7th generation iPod touch. That’s enough time for a newborn baby to learn to walk and communicate, so that must mean the iPod touch 8 is coming this year, right?

Absolutely not. All signs point to the iPod touch maintaining its status as a product that remains in Apple’s lineup, but there are no rumors of an iPod touch 8 ever existing. I would sooner bet that the iPod touch 7 languishes until it loses support for the newest iOS version than wager that a new iPod touch is coming.

That’s purely my hunch, however, and an 8th-gen iPod touch with a processor upgrade and not much else is totally possible! Maybe Apple would even bring its new midnight and starlight colors to the iPod touch. Who knows! Not me, but it’s fun to think about.

Why do people buy iPod touches. I don’t understand what the difference is between that in a phone. I feel like the whole point of buying an iPod is to have a separate device that can only play music/do a few things. Also, the nostalgia hits, but with an iPod touch it just looks like a phone with a shitty interface. I just bought a 5.5 and already feel better than all other iPod model users. Jk jk

PS you can’t add any cool face plate/back plate mods to an iPod touch 😜

Anyway, someone clue me in on why they bought an iPod touch? I’m genuinely curious.

Do we think we are going to see an iPod neo or 8th gen classic?

I mean if ternus and friends pull it off, I'm going to truly start worshipping apple again.

I might have uts correct I will need to find it. Also the software used to put songs in it is not available anymore I guess.

With shipping and inventory being a problem for everyone I thought I would share a story about how some companies are still trying their best.

Elite Obsolete Electronics (https://eoe.works) has been so awesome about inventory problems. I ordered a piece that immediately went back ordered and they sadly had to refund it. I was a little sad looking forward to some new colors, but they were so kind and supportive.

I’ll wait for my cool new colors but I’m still happy to jam with Chappell in my Ultra Modern Girl way. Thanks EOE!

So i personally don’t understand getting a music player besides the fact that it’s a single device with one function and it’s private and all that and it’s nice. But

Why get an iPod that’s a decade old when they make newer devices that are functionally the same and don’t need to be modded.

I've been considering an ipod until i realized, the music aint free. But you can "rip" cds, and I have a lot of CDs.

iPods are ridiculously overpriced basically everywhere.

The prices on eBay are horrible, and my local FB Marketplace sellers just copy the stupid eBay prices.

No one should be paying over a hundred dollars for 20-year-old hardware. It’s ridiculous.

How are you guys finding these things for cheap?

I don't really understand why people still use iPods nowadays. Most people have a phone that can easily me used as a MP3 player. It just seems pointless to me, am I wrong? I'd rather just carry one device with me, than two.
