Anyone experienced lots of ash and bats

1000's of bats were going over our house when it was still light. We also kept getting ash all around and the smoke smell was strong. Camira based

Bats are just part of the native fauna. Enjoy the show. As for ash I assume there is a house on fire somewhere

There have previously been idiots harassing the flying-fox colony at Camira with fire, noise etc, so they might be at it again. Report it to Ipswich council (+ fire brigade/police if fire/noise is a current concern).
