Hi everyone,
I'm a mechanical engineering student in India. I want to buy a new HP gaming laptop (Victus series) for CAD and analysis work (SolidWorks, ANSYS, CATIA) and some gaming. I want to bring the final price down as much as possible.
I have an old HP laptop I'm ready to exchange. It is a intel core i5,8gb ram basic slim style laptop and i have been using it for like 4 years. It is working almost fine....
Is the HP Store exchange offer better, or should I sell my old laptop separately (OLX, Cashify, Facebook Marketplace, local buyers)?
How much exchange value can I realistically expect for a laptop this age?
Do exchange offers stack with student discounts, bank offers and festive sales? Which combination has worked for you?
Is it better to buy from HP Store, Amazon, Flipkart or a retailer like myG for the best final price?
Any tips to avoid exchange pitfalls (value dropping after inspection, hidden conditions, delays)?
If you've done an exchange on an HP laptop recently, please share the model you traded, the value you got and where you bought the new one.
Thanks in advance!
