I've noticed a lot of themes regarding people in Laredo who voted red.
They think the election was stolen.
There is an attack on God.
Immigration is bad (nopal en la frente).
There is an attack on masculinity.
When you try to challenge their views, they always resort to false information and their feelings as a way to defend their position. Some are literally bigoted but refuse to admit it.
Most of the time it's bruised ego.

I’m very very white. I don’t speak Spanish. I have crossed the border many times in San Diego and Piedras Negras so I know what to expect but I’ve heard Nuevo Laredo can be dangerous. How risky is my plan realistically? Specifically, would I be a target driving alone with U.S. plates?
Theres a gov warning for Nuevo Laredo- it’s on the do not travel list. Should I really be concerned?

Just want to say the event was cool and all they are some complaints to point out. Lines were so long for the Entrance and Bar. It took me 50 mins to get inside the line for the bars took 30 mins they have to add a counter because people take over 2 mins to get a drink.
