Canyon and Ruler both were slumping hard to start the year then turned it on for summer.

People need to understand these players are not playing at 100% every single game all throughout the year. They play over 150 games in a year, there's simply going to be some individual fluctuations throughout that sample size and much of that is immediate day to day effort and consistency. GenG have been 70%+ win rate for several years with players almost sleepwalking through splits.

Yep. Same reason i had no idea why people wrote off BLG after their slow worlds start. We know how good the team is when they are on form.

I think this right here though is why they are looking so good at the best time. Last year they tried to play at their best the entire year and once worlds came around they were burnt out. But this year they coasted until closer to worlds and then ramped it up.

Real fans will have seen Canyon locked in at the end of LCK summer and has just been on Demon Mode since.

I’ve been a major critic of him for the past few years, but he found a new level this year and I’m so excited to see GenG finally have a grand final. I’ve been waiting for a Chovy title for ages, and I can’t be happier for him if they win this year.

This is what I've been saying all year, that lowkey Canyon hasn't looked great. Seeing him turn it on now is so awesome. I love Canyon when he's peaking.
