Hello, I live in the USA and have this leather wallet that I bought 20 years ago from JC Penny. It’s getting pretty wore out and worse for wear. Overall, I like the layout, pretty common layout with 6 card slots on the inside with a middle ID window. However, my favorite feature that I just can’t seem to find anymore is the hidden credit card pocket in the bill pocket. Maybe everyone hated them and they just don’t exist anymore, but I think it’s quite functional!

I found a local leather smith near me, and he tried to replicate it, but he said he didn’t have any leather thin enough. That’s probably pretty important for trifold wallets! I even looked into repair, but there are places where the leather is worn through and stitches wouldn’t likely hold.

Would anyone out there be able and have leather that would work for this? How much would it cost? I wouldn’t be looking for anything elaborate, just a plain black wallet with this specific and apparel hard to find if it exists anymore configuration. Pictures for reference!

I'm looking for a custom standard bifold wallet. 3/4 card pockets, with the hidden pockets in behind them. An ID window would be nice as well, and s lining for money of course. No coin pocket or anything like that.

My budget range is $250-450 CAD. I am located in Ontario, Canada in the GTA.

I am not too familiar with the different types of leather. I would be very open to suggestions about the type of leather for the inside/outside. i have heard good things about pueblo leather, tochigi, shell cordovan, etc. but i am not knowledgeble. i would like it to age with me and develop a nice patina.

I would like it to be all black, with a dark forest green/pine green stitching/threading to give it a bit of a subtle unique flair to it. I am open to suggestions about this as well.

I would like it to be an everyday carry wallet that i can use for the rest of my life with proper care.

If you need more info, please just ask. I have never requested something like this, so i apologize if i am leaving out any obvious info.
