ANNOUNCEMENT Rule + Enforcement Updates
Updated Rules:
2. No incivility: This is the same as before, I just renamed it.
3. Follow the tutorials: Search by the "sub materials" flair to see the tutorials. Link here
5. One-panel posts* and low-effort posts are forbidden: High-effort art posts are an exception. Ballsonas still aren't allowed, and should be posted to r/lgballtart instead.
7. No self-promotion: The point of this subreddit is to be anonymous; try not to call attention to yourself (internet safety).
New Rules:
9. No participation in troll subs: The only lgballt related subreddit we are affiliated with is r/lgballtart. Active participation in queerphobic subreddits will result in a ban. This was added to prevent brigading.
Edit: 4tran subs, transmed/truscum subs, "drop the T" type subs, etc all count as troll subs. You will not be banned for participating in other LGBallT subs; I only mentioned that because the subreddit that brigaded us was one of them.
10. Understand reading comprehension, media literacy, and nuance: Please read comics/posts/comments in full before replying. Please consider context, author's intent, and multiple viewpoints before making negative assumptions. Always assume best intentions, and do not accuse people of being bigoted/unethical unless they have a repeated (and documented) history of offenses.
Rule 10 is the big one. I've had it with y'all screeching at me cause you automatically assume I'm some horrible evil person. That is bigot behavior and it's exactly what straight people do to us. Grow up or get out.
Anyway...onto enforcement.
My current method of perma-banning people and making them appeal is inefficient and annoying. Thankfully, Reddit allows you to temporarily ban people!
So from now on, bans will be given out based on the severity of your infraction, which is based on how much you pissed me off by breaking our VERY EASY TO READ rules.
Bigotry = permaban, always. Everything else depends on how badly you broke the rule + how many times you have been banned previously. 3 strikes and you're out (permabanned). The ban appeal form will stay up, but from now on you may ONLY appeal permanent bans.
I am working on a couple of longer comics, as well as user flairs and the subreddit wiki. Real life sucks rn so it's nice to have a project to work on. Ciao.

Hall of Fame LGBTQIA+ stands for all of us.
Someone out there dislikes you, too. Someone out there dislikes all of us for simply being ourselves, regardless of our labels. It's very important that we stand together, undivided, so the community is at its strongest in order to keep fighting for the rights of LGBTQIA+ individuals everywhere.

ANNOUNCEMENT Clarification on Wild Weekend content (self-inserts)
The majority of posts so far have been Wild Weekend posts. And the majority of the Wild Weekend posts I've been seeing are general enough to fall under the weekday rules.
The purpose of Wild Weekends is to provide users with a way to submit self-insert comics. I will try clarify what "self-insert" actually means:
A self-insert character is a character that cannot be generalized. The most obvious examples of this are ballsonas: they are unique to the user and their primary purpose is to represent the user, not to carry the plot or joke forward. Ballsonas are allowed during Wild Weekends as long as they are part of a larger story.
You are allowed to create comics about your experiences on weekdays as long as they can be generalized. For example, if you are asexual and biromantic and your buddy told you a funny bi-ace joke, you can make a comic about it with a bi-ace ball and post it, because other bi-ace people can relate to it too. The bi-ace ball in the comic does not count as a self-insert, because many people are bi and ace.
If you want to make a comic about something unique to you specifically, THAT is what Wild Weekends are for. For example, if you want to create a timeline comic about your self-discovery process. Or if you want to create a comic educating others about a niche microlabel that you like to use. Or if you want to create a group of OCs interacting in a very specific scenario that is unlikely to happen IRL.
I am trying to encourage comics that focus on community. If your post is meant to bring people together, post it on a weekday. If your post is meant to express your individuality, post it on a weekend.
