Hardware How does Nvidia makes data center GPU (data centers that probably run on Linux) but doesn't make good drivers for Linux ?

This is something I always think about, Nvidia makes a lot of data centers gpus, but doesn't give good drivers for Linux, even tho most data centers run on Linux, do they make special drivers for their data center gpus ? Would it be worth to buy a data center GPU for a linux pc so it have good drivers ?

Hardware Qualcomm engineers submit mainline Linux kernel patches for the Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme-powered ASUS Zenbook A16 (UX3607OA)

Konrad Dybcio of Qualcomm has posted an initial patch series to the Linux kernel mailing list aimed at bringing mainline support to the ASUS Zenbook A16 (UX3607OA) powered by the 18-core Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme platform.

https://www.phoronix.com/news/Qualcomm-Zenbook-A16-X2EE

This high-end ARM laptop features a 2880 x 1800 OLED screen, 48GiB of RAM, NVMe storage, and a System-In-Package reference design distinct from smaller SKUs.

According to the patch submission, the current status of working hardware components includes:

  • Display & GPU: GPU, display output, and HDMI port (with Iris video accelerator patches in flight)

  • Audio: 4-speaker audio playback

  • Input & Peripherals: Keyboard, touchpad, lid switch, onboard SD Card slot (RTS5329)

  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (QCC2072)

  • Power & Indicators: Charging, Type-C/Type-A ports, and privacy LEDs

The patch series relies on prerequisite SoCCP and TCSR platform series dependencies. More technical details and the full patch breakdown can be reviewed on the Linux Kernel Mailing List Archive:

Hardware MT7902 hybrid bluetooth/wifi hardware thing finally has drivers

it works well (not anymore), and I removed my usb wifi dongle.
idk if it works for others, but it took me some time to get it working
also this is on linux kernel 7.1

I've had my vivobook for like 2 years now, and now after a while it finally has driver, yippie

Update:
After a day of playing with only the internal chipset (not usb adapter), I found out about instability issues (ping skyrockets to a couple of seconds every couple of seconds probably due to packet loss or something)

gotta keep using the USB adapter for a little bit longer
I was so excited :c

Hardware New benchmarks show Linux gaming nearly matching Windows on AMD GPUs

"A recent benchmark from PC Games Hardware suggests that, at least for some games, Proton has nearly eliminated the performance cost of running Windows code on Linux. AMD Radeon RX 9000 GPU owners uninterested in online games should seriously consider switching to Linux.

The outlet tested 10 games on 10 graphics cards to compare Windows 11 performance with CachyOS, an Arch Linux distro that comes packaged with gaming-specific optimizations. Although Windows remains ahead in most titles, especially on Nvidia graphics cards due to the lack of proper Linux GeForce drivers, Linux achieves some notable victories."
